I’ve got the v1 with orange dial. 600 bucks for a Swiss made watch with this design and this high of quality is pretty awesome in my opinion.

That’s a beautiful dial. Wow. Yup. Love GADA style watches. That’s why when someone asks that question of “if you can only own one watch ever,” I always say Aqua Terra or a Datejust (not fluted). Although I’m in the SRPE income bracket. 😅

Really dumb how companies gradually increase pre order prices overtime.. Was really considering getting one, but not now knowing it was $50 cheaper 2 weeks ago

I think that a flat brushed bezel and an unadorned brushed rehaut amount to a blocky and lifeless frame for a dial which does not pop very much (colors are muted and dial pattern is not very intricate). Simple designs can be made attractive by adding details like mixing polished and brushed surfaces or adding a splash of color here and there, that's where this watch falls short.

Not them I'm aware of! American. 1/4 Japanese, 3/4 "generic white" (some Welsh, Scottish, French, and who knows what else)

Firstly this is how almost every watch reviewers is able to receive watches for review Secondly this is also far from the only watch he would have received for free in 2023, so it being his favourite definitely has weight to it

It's actually pretty relevant since he talks a good amount about Seiko,Citizen, and other Japanese brands extremely often, and he has access to JDM models and has discussed them on the channel before.
