Love this! One small niggle: it was radium that they used to use for lume. Tritium is still used (in tubes lined with phosphorus that reacts with the gas's radioactivity) and it's harmless.

Maurice lacroix aikon perhaps? If you mention tissot being similar to AP maybe you want to have a look at ML brand aikon that took its own design from calypso back in the 1990s

Hi Mate watching your videos is excitement the jlc is cutting corners i am surprised as the gap from the sapphire crystal is awful and the gap on the bracelet showing the pin is disaster.

Tritium, while technically radioactive, emits alpha particles, which are harmless and blocked by the crystal anyway.

You are a man of great taste Harrison and no way will you get shot by me. I tried it on and absolutely loved it , went away for a think about it as it is / was not exactly cheap. I didn't buy it as I had recently laid out a ton of money on a Rolex so funds were a tad hammered at the time. Yip the CK 859 is a stunning piece, one day I will own one though.

The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is amazeballs. I will have one eventually. The AP Royal Oak is a total yawn fest. Would never even get one, even if I could afford one.

This list is pure crap beside Zenith,AP and Vacheron. When you said that Expedition made huge ripples in the industry I literally chuckle,that’s something my local AD would tell. Just one model of Seiko Alpinist is more popular than whole catalogue of Hamilton watches in 2024!!

Worthwhile and interesting comments in the main, but I have to say that when you mentioned your two and a half year career I spat out my coffee....there are BB58's with a longer time on KZfaq. You obviously love your job even when you say you got a watch in to kind of 'crap ' on it ? did I hear you right ? . Wow man ? is this CH's policy ? Lastly you may wish to look up 'radium' when talking early Blancpain. Maybe you need a bit more than a two and a half year career...Won't be subscribing here just yet, nor visiting a CH to part with my hard earned to someone in a grey hoodie......is it just me ?
