3 months with the Hamilton Khaki Field automatic and I really, really like it. It's supremely versatile dial / strap options suits so many situations. Right now, I haven't seen anything else that I want more than this. How long that will last, who knows! 😜

The Blancpain Leman Flyback Chronograph 2185F-1130-71 from the 90s was the thinnest chronograph for over 30 years. Sized at 38mm. Very much overlooked and can be had preowned at 7K or less sometimes. Might be worth adding in your next video. :)

Nice selection here. I tried on the Omega AT in 38mm and 41mm. I felt the 38mm looked a bit too small on my wrist, even thought I have 38mm watches. I ended up buying the Globemaster instead, which is a 39mm. Absolutely love it.

These are not in the luxury tier, but the Seiko SARBs 033 and 035 are beautifull 38mm pieces and will always look like pure class on the wrist!

Seiko SPB259J1 38mm. Unique dial. Limited edition. Absolutely love it. If you can get one after market, it’ll be a lot cheaper than an aqua terra while still having a premium look

My personal favorite (not shown here) is the JLC Geophysic 1958. Although technically 38.5mm, it checks all the boxes I look for in a perfect watch

My favourite at the moment is the Seiko alpinist reinterpretation you mentioned. The specs are absolutely insane for a watch you can grab for 580€ (There are often discounts and then it is an absolute no-brainer). Saphire, 20bar water resistance, a great dial and the fact that you get the 6r35 movement in a watch under 1000€ is insane. Look for the same specs at swiss brands and you are in the over 2000 bucks price category. Great watch. I like the other ones too. I aim for the omega Aqua Terra next but right now the Seiko takes the cake in the 38mm-division for me.

Great vid. The GP Laureato 38mm is long gone though, and its not been at the 7k level for well over a year. 15k maybe, but thats an insane price for this watch. Personally gutted that they discontinued this size.

Thanks for the Video. I own the Seiko Alpinist with the green dial and the Seagull 1963 with the domed arcrylic crystal and love both. Two out of ten not bad. The Alpinist is on a Hirsch James performance strap in gold brown to turn it into a real tool watch. Did not like the original strap, which is not waterproof.

Hello. Superb selection of watches with a diameter of 38mm. I also own an Omega Aqua Terra 38mm like yours, a chic sport watch, tool watch, daily watch, and probably my favorite watch, among the most prestigious in my collection. That said, in your selection, you are missing an excellent 38mm chronograph watch, it is the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Original 69, a watch that not only because of its 38mm diameter has excellent proportions, it is long less than 46mm and above all a thickness of 12.6mm for an automatic chronograph movement.

I have an Omega Aqua Terra 38.5mm, and for me it's the perfect size. I love my Planet Ocean 43mm, but for sheer comfort you can't beat 38-39mm, and I'm so happy the era of stupidly sized watches appears to be over.

GP laureato is such a nice watch, and considering its price point, I’d say it’s a superior watch to AP. Now, if they make a 40 mm version with 18k gold rotor, it would be phenomenal.

John, Normally I buy 40-42 MM watches, so I would never have considered buying a 38 MM until you got me thinking. What is your perspective about buying a 36MM watch for men?

I have 7.33 inch wrists. I have watches from about 28 mm to 48 mm. But I wear 35 mm and up. With 39 mm feeling the best. But lug shape, bracelet/strap type, crown shape, pusher shape and more come into play. One thing I found is that straps and or bracelets that are less than 18 mm wide look too diminutive on my wrist. And even though I have a 31 mm watch I like, I just don't wear it.

Great video. But I'm tired of people saying a seagull 1963 is $300. It's actually $159ish. I won't pay 100% just to get it in a week. I'd rather pay the cost. Now. If a company's buys 100 watches and sells them the regular cost. They still make mad bank. So a watch that cost 159 to a supplier who pay 129 for orders over 100 pieces. Where do u guys get $300
