Creatine works. I take it all the time (monohydrate). It takes about a month to kick in. You won't feel stronger but you will notice it easier to do more reps and you will see your size increase and less soreness from heavy reps ( this combined with a good diet)

Would you say there is a difference between taking it in pills or through powders?
@join7828
@join7828 Жыл бұрын
@@tonyace4507 I think the powder is better because you can vary the doses. For example, if you do a load phase you can adjust how much you use. Not sure how well the pills digest in your system either. I don't have much knowledge on the pills but everyone I know who has used creatine uses the powder. If you do the powder go for the micronized creatine. It disolves better in your drink. Regular powder a lot of times sinks to the bottom of your drink.

I guess I’m very sensitive to creatine. I eat plenty of meat in my diet, but when I started supplementing with creatine, my muscles just blew up and I added 2 reps to my bench press and about 5kg to my 1RM. It could also be the high amount of protein too but I’ve done that exclusively before and the results with creatine are staggering. My endurance for cardio is also much better and I feel more aesthetic too.

It amazes me that so many people still endorse/swear by it Ive tried it several times over the years. Maybe it did something but if Im taking it, Im also taking in the proper amount of protein, generally trying to get 8-9 hours sleep and working out 4-5 times weekly. Hydration is underated in terms of "supplementation". Water is free in America right out of most peoples taps. Drink upwards of 90oz of water prior to going to the gym and it does wonders in terms of feeling great and getting a good workout in. Don't drink 90oz 30 minutes before going because you're gonna feel bloated and like crap but get 90oz in a few hours before or if you workout right when you get up just hydrate the night before and a bit in the morning. It makes a lot more sense now why you see guys going hard in the gym always carrying around gallon jugs of water everywhere with them and constantly guzzling the H20. Like it's been stated it's probably the best supplement and it's free for most people.

@@Travishibachi87 lol no I don't think I will, my sessions are fine they just take longer because I have a home gym and walk around petting my dogs for like 5 mins between sets. My warm up is fine, but I am training for strength and longevity and the warmup I do doesn't cause fatigue for my main lifts, but it does properly wake every muscle and ligament im working that day up and I do the warmup while I do my first few main lift sets as I'm building up to my top set. Also I drink a protein shake mid workout to help fuel me through the accessory work and that basically ends up being 2-2.5 hour workouts.

DHT that goes to the scalp speeds up hair loss by miniaturizing your hair follicles. Since creatine increases DHT levels then it can indirectly cause hair loss. My job involves a large flight of stairs every ten minutes and walking quite far (for a non-athlete fat guy) 24,000 steps per day, and I am quite fat. Anytime you eat your insulin goes up, so it being mixed with juice isn’t necessary. Creatine was first studied in 1832 so basically 190 Years. Within 190 years and more than 300+ study there’s only 1 study that was done in 2009 that found out on THEIR patient that it increased DHT… 300 study+ and only 1. this is what they observed during their testing. To reassure you further more, on thoses 300+ studies, there’s approximative 30% of them that shows that creatine doesn’t even work. I think we can all agree it DOES. I’m saying this to say, studies are not perfect AND the study ITSELF never said créatine CAUSED hair loss it says I quote : However, levels of DHT increased by 56% after 7 days of creatine loading and remained 40% above baseline after 14 days maintenance So they THEORIZED that increase DHT = Hair loss which is not necessarily the case. The human body is more complexe! Hope that help, if you need any link let me know

If you don’t eat much meat or none you will gain the most from it and is absolutely needed. Just my two cents.

Wish I could take creatine. Since I only have one kidney, my doctor doesn’t necessarily recommend it due to water retention.

Creatine saturates into the muscle so it doesn't matter when you take it. As long as you take the dose you need everyday (for the most part) then your muscles will eventually fully saturate

@@pastorofmuppets1968 basically the fascia encompassing my calf muscles doesn’t expand when the muscles do (via exertion), which cuts off blood flow. So when the calves expand AND retain water it’s a nightmare.
