I hope you are all having a great day, today we are continuing our FL Studio basics series by talking about Fruity Parametric EQ 2.
This EQ is a fantastic tool to separate, shape and clean up instruments and vocals in your mix. It is super easy to use and very intuitive however there are a few "hidden" features that can help a huge amount such as selecting a filter mode such as "High Pass".
I have seen many tutorials for EQ 2 where they do not show this and it makes the job a lot more difficult, people are dragging all sorts of weird shapes and pulling token down just to make a high pass shape.
I tend to use a variety of different EQs including TDR slick EQ, Parametric EQ 2, Nova, Slate and Eiosis because I like experimenting and learning them to see how the best sound can be achieved but Fruity Parametric EQ 2 is a versatile tool especially for subtractive EQ.

There is a little glitch in the video where I was about to move onto the "Key" choice but my audio stopped recording...that simply lets you select a particular note which can help remove bad notes if you are using a sampled instrument, it can be used with some success but isn't necessary.

Straight up, I now basically have trust issues with any other channel that is not this one. Haha I just always know that this channel is always gonna give me all the info I need yet without taking an hour to do it in a confusing manner. Props to a IN THE MIX! By far the best tutorial channel on KZfaq! Busy works beats is a close 2nd but sometimes he just forgets that not everyone has been doing this for years. In The Mix is always simple to understand and like I said also always quick and to the point👍👍👍

A lot of people look at FL STUDIO as a "kids program" but the things you're doing and the results you're achieving are truly remarkable. Do you record your vocals in FL STUDIO as well? I've been using it for years ,this video has everything to know about this EQ , and from FL 12.4 , it got two other options whch are: -Frequency labelling for all keys -Ability of resizing that's really a great EQ but you have to use it carefully

Appreciate the vid. Just finished using paramedic eq2 to clean up some vocals. It sounded amazing. I made sure to save it. Opened the project back up and now my voice sounds super weird... I have looked everywhere to fix this but can't find no solution. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Could you do a tutorial on how to get an instrument connected through an interface into FL studio? I've been able to hear my guitar through the software but I'm not able to pan any audio tracks when I record. Everything is just centered. Appreciate it! :)

Hi you quickly skipped on when you started with the string section in the Eq as there was nothing that needed Eq Inc I have found this, I record say a bass track it's plays back just as it went in, being what I wanted and no matter what I do in eq I cannot improve it, (I don't want to happy) so what do I do just fish around for ugly frequiantcies, and remove them? If so then how do I check they are within the right. Field in the frequency spectrum? Thank you
