Yeah, totally agree with this of course. When I first started playing Titanfall 2, I mostly got just absolutely wrecked and then went to look for meta videos. I had no game sense, pretty bad aim and pretty bad movement. I mostly just used the car, and I thought that Titanfall was ok. Then I found some good channels (iniquity, papercut, and later Jerdude) and started moving more and trying out different weapons. Now I absolutely love this game. I’m still pretty bad, I’ve still got no game sense, and on a bad day my aim leaves a lot to be desired, but it is so fun to fly around with a kraber, wingman or Grenadier weapon, and have half the kills you get feel like incredible, rare trick shots. In my opinion, if there is one thing that Titanfall 2 does really well, it would be having even fairly ordinary kills make you feel like a pro, as long as you apply yourself enough to branch out, move a lot, and try off meta weapons.

I've played Titanfall 2 since release and one of the best tips I have is to not take it too serious. Enjoy the game mechanics, movement and have fun. Try different weapons and experiment. Titanfall isn't as restricted as other FPS games. Play as you want to. But don't ever use spitfire or G2.... Also, set goals and try to learn the more advanced movements and every other FPS will seem boring after that.

The Alternator literally changed my life with this game. I thought it sucked at first. I kept aiming down the sight and the recoil was just nasty. Tap and hip firing are the way to go.

For all the new players or people who already play this game, I just want to say welcome and hello! If your the person who wants to use a gun that's fun and also takes a lot of skill to master, I would recommend the kraber. The kraber is the first sniper rifle you unlock in the game and is a one shot kill anywhere to a pilots body. Its not like any ordinary sniper, in fact it really doesn't even act like a sniper of any other in other FPS games. Its a gun that has bullet drop and travel time with means that at far rang you have to lead your shot above the player and if there moving you will need to aim ahead or behind in the direction that there going. At medium rang is where the kraber shines. At medium rang you don't have to lead your shots up or lead in font/behind them witch means easy one shot kill. How ever there is only one other thing that you will need to learn if you want to get good with the kraber and that's the movement of Titanfall 2. My best tips for movement guides are to watch videos on yt and practicing the tips in either the gauntlet witch is the tutorial mission and is the first thang that you do in the game or private matches on any map but I would recommend doing it on all maps so you can find the best routs to take and just get familiar with all the maps for multiplayer. The reason I recommend learning the movement is because of the draw backs the kraber has because the kraber is a slow weapon to use because of its reload time and ADS speed. There are attachments that you can put on like Gun Ready witch is a necessary attachment for being consistent because it allows you to minimize the reload time animation by about half and there is another attachment called Speed Reload with just reloads your gun faster. All the other attachments are up to you to use. Now being able to use the movement is important because it allows you to run away from combat and reset your engagement. The best tacticals to use for it are stim and grapple. If there are any other tips or questions that you have about the kraber please comment them and Ill try to respond to them! PS the worst gun to use is the Spitfire. So don't use it.

As a 2016 titanfall player some pro tips are: - Don't be afraid to use your secondary weapon (you can get more kills that you wouldn't be able to get if reloading) - NEVER STOP MOVING you are a easier target if you stand still - Grenades can be your best friend if you know how to time them - Just have fun

Learning how to slide hop and grapple launch is really what made me fall in love with the game and start getting better. That and realizing that hip fire is usually more viable than ADS in fast paced situations

Veteran here. Took some time away from playing TF2 but so happy to see it's hot again! This game did not get the credit it deserves. So much fun! Respawn...get cracking on TF3.

One thing I love so much about this game is that if i feel like I'm not having fun or it's just a super difficult game, I can switch up my playstyle, weapons, abilities, titan, ANYTHING I want to change I can and try to have more fun. If I feel like goofing off with the Mozam, I can and can still do great. Like you said, there's many good weapons that at first seem underpowered or slow, or just plain weird (Alternator, Flatline, L-Star, Double Take), but once you play with them, once you understand them and experiment, then it's a whole different game. You can have so much fun and pop off so often just by changing up what you use and how you play every now and then. My personal favorite titan is scorch, hands down. He feels so fun and brawly to use. Get in someone face and light em on fire while blocking of their escape. Speed him up the dash cooldown and you can get just about anywhere as fast as a ronin can.

When I first started I had picked ronin as my titan not knowing he is the hardest to use Now a year later I can take on multiple titans at once (Bonus story) I was once the only person left alive in a match and the team proceeded to dance with me.I love titanfalls community

I feel like the skill ceiling is high, but not impossibly achievable by the average player. I’m not super duper accurate in my shooting, but figuring out how to OUTMANEUVER my enemies is what allows me to get the best experience. Titanfall 2 is unique to me personally because it’s a game I’ve never been frustrated playing, even when I get my butt kicked. It’s just fun ZOOMING along wall, grappling ledges, Titans, and just flying everywhere, seeing what tricksy trick shots I can manage. I don’t usually kill more than 10 pilots and 3 Titans, but damn do I have a good time doing it :)

For anyone who is familiar with arena shooters like Quake and Unreal, you'll feel right at home with some of the guns in Tf2 - Mastiff: very similar to the primary fire of the flak cannon (Unreal Tournament), except the projectiles don't ricochet - EPG: like the rocket launcher from Unreal because of the speed of the projectiles - L-Star: feels exactly like using the plasma cannon from Quake 3 - R-6P Softball: fires like the alternate fire of the flak cannon - Kraber: feels like a railgun (Quake), except the bullet behaves like a projectile

Im G4.10 and I’m so happy to see 80,000 players on also one of my favorite games. No other game has a better community then titanfall and you can see that by everyone dancing on the bridge and have fun. Like he said all you have to do is have a good time and things will click. The first weapon I “mastered” was the l-star, i said “mastered” because i started playing tf 2 because it was free and i got a lot of kills with it.

Ronin is a really fun Titan to play and if you get enough practise with him, he is a monster

Now, although I am not the best at Titanfall 2 I have found a weapon that i consider underrated: the Mozambique. I have only played Titanfall 2 for about a week and I have already learned that the Mozambique absolutely shreds enemy pilots from short range or long range.

I love Titan combat, my tip is to identify the Titan, and always remember the one you’re piloting- don’t switch load outs continuously stuck with one Titan per match

10/10 agree. The weapons that are the hardest to use are often the most fun. Also if you're new, realize how important everything with your build is, not just your weapon. If you want to do the most titan damage at close range, get a softball, firestar, and use titan hunter. If you want to kill a ton of pilots, grab grenades instead. Really just experiment and try everything. Especially try every titan. For the longest time, I only used Legion. He was good, and I did the best with him when I was new. Then I moved on to Monarch. I've had my best games with her, and she's really good, but I got stuck with her and became a Monarch main. Now I hop between different titans all the time and have the most fun that way. This game is really all about trying new things and switching things up. If you always use the same stuff, you will eventually get bored with it.

Personally I think veterans should use any non assault, sub, or heavy weapons instead using things like the kraber or the mastiff. It gives noobs a chance and it makes you feel better getting on the top of leaderboard

Tips to fight Titans: Entire enemy team in Titans? Satcgel charges and the Thunderbolt melts them. Want to annoy the Tone user? Firestar in it's face and Archer to kill it. SMR is an amazing weapon to pester them as well.

If you're new I'd definitely say go with ion or tone. Don't mess around with monarch because you're probably not going to have a good time since monarch takes more effort to make her good compared to ion and tone that are at their best as soon as they drop and are easy enough to get into and do well with.

New to titanfall and loving it so much. Been amazed at the community. It's a breath of fresh air after Cod. Also, the speed of this game is awesome. Oh and the campaign. oh and everything else.

Tip 1: there are no bad weapons in Titanfall 2, but some will outgun others in most situations. Tip 2: if you throw a gravity star at the cockpit of an ejecting pilot they will get caught and killed. Tip 3: learn how to use scorch, monarch, and ronin. They are absolute GODS. Tip 4: Ronins sword doesn’t swing or hit harder than an average Titans fist. Tip 5: Learn the movement system and how to bunny-hop. There are plenty of videos out there to assist the learning process of those tips. Hopefully this list has helped someone out there!

Dude I played this game in 2016-17 and been having a lot of fun with it. I’ve been watching this guy that time, and now today a video of him just randomly showed up.

I’m so happy to finally see this game grow. I was a tester back in the pre-alpha Tech test and thought this game had lots of potential. even after its poor release date I played daily for about a year until i finally burned out. But now with this resurgence on PlayStation I’ve started playing again and I’m able to spread this game to all of my friends and family who are now enjoying this game for the first time as I was 3 years ago.

Pro tip: chase people down for as long as needed to get that execution

Two year vet pro tips: 1: Never use gunrunner 2: learn to airstrafe and tap strafe 3: Learn to use the more defensive Titans and tacticals, even if you don't end up using them after you do learn 4: Don't play like it's CoD. For Frontier Defence: 1: Use the grenadier weapons. I prefer the SMR, but I've seen people running the other ones. 2: Unless you want to babysit or, and/or you're struggling with ticks/grunts/plasma drones, don't buy a lot of turrets. The arc traps' slow is far more cost effective. 3: Harvester shield is great if your team isn't the greatest 4: If you get good at herding your titan, you buy amped weapons, and don't die, the auto chip can be great because you can then put your grenadier/anti titan weapon downrange for extra damage (trust me, you can solo multiple titans by yourself while your titan is off somewhere else on the lower difficulties), plus you're super mobile for hunting down mortar units. 5: Use satchel charges. 6 DON'T LEAVE AFTER ONE LOSS!!!!!!

So many video games are just so sweaty and everyone tries so hard. That is not what Titanfall 2 is, it is pure fun and that is what people love about it

Pro Tip: Shoot less, aim more - the pace of Titanfall 2 is too fast to reload.

As a veteran some advice I think that a new player should know is this: You will die and get pubstomped and hate your team and the enemy for your first 10 matches. Somewhere around that you will find a gun or a Titan that you enjoy. Then you will start getting better. Slowly and slowly your KDR rises. Slowly and slowly your levels go up. You find new weapons, new Titans, new ways to play the game. And eventually, you streak around the map hitting noscopes with a Kraber pubstomping people into the ground.

The r-97 is underrated. While the Car and alternator's hip is not completely accurate, the r-97's hip is litterally a lazer if you can control the recoil. Every single shot you fire ends up right in the middle.

Tip for Ronin players. If you are going to take another titan alone first use arc wave, then empty your leadwall, then phase dash so you are behind the enemy titan and use electrosmoke. Also reload when you are in the middle of your phase dash so you are ready to shot the enemy titan from behind.

As a “new” player, the charge rifle is amazing. I decided to give this game a shot after playing the OG Titanfall back in the day. The charge rifle will always be my thing. That burst of dopamine after nailing a pilot across the map is amazing.

This game is so incredible, I'm so happy to see people are still playing actively. My favorite FPS game of all time for sure. The fluidity and weapon system is just awe inspiring.
