Real. Finally someone giving the Marksman Rifle. I main this in PVP, its too OP. I'm on PC so no lock on, gotta do it the old fashion way, in which case I just use the ruler, need the extra bullets with 9999 ammo rather than the limited ammo of AP

The large scope is best because it gives u about the same render distance as the zoom scope allowing u to still use as a sniper rifle. Keep in mind that the large scope is effected by the first person aim sensitivity...not the third person like the zoom scope when in first person so u may wanna tweek that sensitivity

The problem though is you can't lock on with a sniper scope. Sniper is the only weapon class in your pocket that's locked to Free Aim no matter your aiming mode. Not to mention Sniper Scope has limited FOV, so you have a tunnel vision to deal with.

I really wish you could keep both the MK1and MK2 versions of weapons in your weapon wheel. That way you could use the special ammo of the mk2 but still have the mk1 for regular ammo. For example using the explosive ammo for the Heavy sniper Mk2, but can pull out the mk1 Heavy anytime if you want to shoot something without blowing it up or run out of special ammo. That way you're not forced to use the dart gun bolt action sniper as your only long range weapon when you run out of special ammo or want to shoot something with just regular ammo.

I think having the option to switch between regular ammo and special ammo would be so much better and easier, but the whole point in my opinion is the fact that you have to choose wether you want a little bit of special ammo or a lot of regular ammo

I discovered the beauty of the scopeless marksman by accident. when it came out, I forgot to put a scope on it because I was in a hurry to join my friend's Pac Std finale. it's so smooth and precise that it makes every job you use it on a streamlined experience, makes you feel like John Wick at some degree :)

Back when I did play gta I always used the mk2 marksman with a red dot as my go to weapon because if you got used to flicking R stick upwards and shooting you could always get a head shot easily, granted it took practice but if you could do it with that weapon you could do it with any

I always tossed aside the Marksman Rifle cuz I never considered ever removing the Scope. I don't PvP but I have a feeling this can make a decent choice under situational circumstances in PvE. I'm gonna have to take this Armor Piercing thing.

I don't do PVP and I only use free aim, but I like to use the Marksman rifle in PVE. I gave mine a livery and painted it brown to make it look like a vintage rifle if you look at it from a distance and squint.

unfortunately the marksman with lock on isn't very good in pve, as any weapon 1 shots to the head like a special carbine, combat mg etc

Finally a proper counter that exists besides just owning that incredibly rare musket. I bought one like a year or 2 ago but they reset my account so I never got that weapon back for whatever reason. Marksman rifle with the special rounds can most of the time do 1-2 shots depending on where they are but with BST it might always be a 1 shot.

I've known about this AP marksman strat for a long time now but never really used it because it only has 5 shots (and you have to restock in avenger) and the fact that I use the explosive sniper so the regular marksman has become my main sniper for ground targets. if I ever decide to change off the exp rounds (if they ever fix the raiju being immune to bullets lol) then this will likely become my new loadout

I was always using the Marksman rifle mainly because whenever I would have to heavy snipe someone and they don't die they will just blow themselves up. But now I can just use BST & two tap them in free aim😂. It's either that or I will throw the scope off and actually use it as a main weapon and not be too close to the fights or you can legitimately use this thing in PVE scenarios. it's actually a pretty good weapon if you can hit your headshots with it. But only in pve.

I knew it! it wasn't just luck. There was this fight I had once against a Mk2 guy and the only way I took him down was with that rifle. I thought that was impossible since it wasn't the heavy sniper, but the guy indeed was taken down with it with one shot at the head. This is amazing!

Been playing the game since 2014. I have pretty much every item and every business. But I never knew exchanging the zoom scope with the red dot scope on the marksman rifle gave it auto aim potential. I always kept the long range scope on it because I presumed it was more effective. Boy was I wrong.

you only use ap rounds when they have a BP helmet on, otherwise you just stick with the 16 mag as it still 1 shots but you have triple the ammo and don't have to restock it every 19 seconds

what are you talking about? i use it on annoying long distance NPC all the time, they get annoying with infinite lock on range and no damage drop off so i cheese it too with the marksman.

The marksman rifle has always been good but there's nothing more annoying than having to resupply ammo for armor piercing so I just roll with regular ammo and short scope. I tend to kill people with 3-4 shots or 2 with a headshot but it is a little tricky to learn if you're not used to pvp

Marksman MK2 is a tilt machine, i really don't understand why noone uses it. I use it every time i have to pvp in this game (which i really don't do all that much) and it's laughably broken. Most of the time i kill person 4-5 times before he can even start to aim with heavy sniper score.

*for freeroam PvP. Otherwise handicapping yourself with a tiny 5-round mag & small ammo reserve is not ideal for most other activities.

Yeah not happy about that for PvE, but it is what it is, being the only DMR-esque weapon in the game. Atleast it's still more impactful to use in PvE than other lock-on-able semi-auto weapons.

Ever since your last video on it, a scopeless marksman rifle with armor piercing rounds has been my go-to. I also have incendiary rounds on my heavy sniper because they are still 1-shot in most situations.
