Today I’m finally sharing my Best Of Cirque Colors! Cirque had been one of my favorite brands, and while I have shared some issues & concerns with other brands, it’s unfortunate I have a lot more to say about Cirque. I’m trying to give them grace because all brands experience highs and lows and while I may not agree with a lot of their business decisions over the last year, it’s not bad enough to put me off from them entirely, especially knowing how worse other brands can be. I think they still put out some gorgeous polishes and I have a LOT of favorites!

I’ve been a longtime customer of Cirque too, and one of the big issues I had with them in recent memory is how I’d order polishes from a new release, usually within a couple days of them having been released, only for them to go on sale two weeks later 🙃

I love cirques magnetics precisely because they are super jelly-ish without any other glitter inside. the magnetic effect is so much more intense ❤

yeah I know a lot of people who do prefer their more jelly finish! it’s almost strange to me that I don’t, because I do love their jellies lol. I just personally find other magnetics more intense, but I can understand the other side of that where they can also be too busy 😝

I did rant to customer service recently - the facets collection (from many years ago) was my absolute favorite and I own almost every single one. I was gettting low on a couple, so I grabbed a couple new ones. I received them and the pigment is totally different. It’s not the original formula. There is no note in the product description on the site to let you know that the formula is different and that they don’t look the same. They are drastically different - the holo pigment is a finer particle size, so it doesn’t have the same sparkle as the original formula. I’m completely uninterested in the new formula. They are super disappointing. So, I will say, in Cirque’s defense, they did respond and gave me my money back. I do think they are dropping the ball in terms of the integrity of their business practices lately. I hope they take note of the grumbling, and turn things around over there. I don’t know what’s going on, but we’re all noticing. I’ve always loved Cirque, but they’ve moved down the list of makers I’m purchasing from recently.

Oh no! The Facets are some of my absolute favs from them. I'm so disappointed to hear they've changed the formula. I love Cirque and I'm wondering what's been happening with them too. I feel like they've not been very happy with their customer base recently and that's turning people off too. I hope whatever it is gets turned around. I'd be so, so sad if they didn't stick around.

omg nooo that sucks, I love their Facets line! that’s such a shame they changed the formulation :( I can understand if it was an issue sourcing the original holo flakies they used, but why not mention that at all?? i wonder if all the swatch photos are from the original listings, that would be so annoying too. I’m really glad to hear they did immediately refund you though, probably because you KNEW there was something off/different about them (I’ve seen emails from them almost have a gaslighty tone 😵💫) but yeah i couldn’t have said it better myself, they really need to get it together!! 😩

@@PolishedYogi yes, the swatch photos are still from the original formula. At least the ones I ordered were. That’s what made me so mad 😡 that’s really false advertising in my book.

It is so important to speak up on how each brand can improve, especially when they really fall short of their potential. We vote with our dollars, so if we don’t voice our concerns it will only be downhill from now on. Thank you Stefanie for your honest review and holding the brand accountable for their shortcomings.

yeah i think ILNP has every boutique brand beat when it comes to their value! i was honestly surprised they didn’t increase their prices when everyone else did, I hope it stays that way lol 🤞🏼

I love ILNP polishes - they are the ones that started my obsession with nail polish, but I just can’t deal with the skinny brush! 🫤 I know they changed it to a wider paddle brush for their cremes, but I wish they would change the brush out from all the polishes.

@@katiemichelle9371 you could purchase brush replacements (kmsimmer or glisten and glow are compatible). It doesn’t bother me too much but I do prefer larger brushes too.

I’ve been catfished by Cirque on several occasions with those swatch photos. I’ve learned my lesson and almost never purchase without researching the colors I’m interested in first because the disappointment has been real!!! Great video as always, really appreciate the honest and fair critique.

ugh yeah its such a shame to have to do that especially as a customer! you should be able to rely on the website photos.. and i feel like it does a disservice to the swatchers they work with too! 😣 but thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

In my opinion, some of the swatches for the jellies don’t even look like real swatches. They look photoshopped onto the nails.

Now that you lay all of this out, I forgot how many bad collections there have been over the last year or so. The thermals with the chunky pigments. Totally forgot about that one. I do think they are overcharging people for the quality and quantity of polish. It also seems they never acknowledge any of this. An admission and apology goes a long way with me. People and companies aren’t perfect and I don’t expect them to be - so when you screw up, just admit it and make it right and move on. Holo Taco has great CS, as well as Mooncat, and even Orly, who is a huge brand! I hope they have a come to Jesus and take a look at their business practices. I think they are losing a lot of customers. 🤷♀️

I think we all collectively blacked out those thermals from our minds lol 😵💫 and ugh yes I could not agree more with that!! I know it’s a thing brands/corporations do where they never actually say SORRY (there was someone on tiktok who would like “review” brand apologies and basically praise them for how vague they were lol) but jeeze it really would mean so much to us as customers & supporters for them to actually apologize!! But obviously the best apology is changed behavior and I know a lot of us are gonna be like 🔎 with everything Cirque does moving forward lol so for everyone’s sake I do hope they actually make better choices!

I LOVE Cirque - especially their jelly’s, and I really want to root for them. However, all of their controversies aside in the last year, my issue is that they just aren’t pushing out interesting collections or pushing the envelops! When the jelly’s first came out - I thought it was so innovative (of course brands have done jelly’s/sheers forever, but Cirque did it so well!) and loved all the nail art options. Same with their magnetics. I just hope that in the upcoming year they will push out good collections - really that’s the only way to win customers back.

that’s totally fair! I’ve seen that same sentiment expressed in a lot of my collection reviews, they’re just not standing out (ugh those halloween jellies?!?) I do think they maybe have gotten too comfortable relying on their jellies, even though i absolutely love them. I think there’s gaps in their catalogue that can definitely be filled, like they have a surprising lack of blue creams compared to other shades. they don’t release creams like they used to, but when they have over the last couple of years, they’ve been green! Renegade, Tumbleweed, Sticky Icky, Matcha.. just so strange lol. definitely am hoping for better collections next year too, I do love their moodboards and can see the vision, but sometimes the execution falls short, which is a shame considering how pricey they are 😅

I am a longtime Cirque user-- the polishes I have from them have been consistently good and, when they were released, unique. You have some beautiful picks here! I think your criticisms are on point though. I miss the days when they really seemed to release carefully curated collections only a few times a year. The last couple years they have had soooo many releases, many limited editions, and the marketing for them has been a miss for me.

yess you get it!! I really don’t know when they started doing the monthly releases, it feels like its been a while though and yeah I can totally see how that loses the appeal, especially compared to what they once were 😢 and totally agree, they tend to release a LOT of LE which is super frustrating too! I hate feeling like I have to push those products and induce FOMO.

Thank you for this video! I am really enjoying the brand highlight videos. I thought this one was balanced and fair. I have polishes from Cirque that I love and are such good quality. That being said, I have not loved their business practices lately(many of which you addressed) and a few times I just said to myself I’m done with Cirque. However, I really don’t want to do that and I did purchase a couple from the Far, Far Away collection. But sadly if they don’t get their act together I may regrettably stop purchasing from them altogether. Come on Cirque-everybody loves a comeback, please get it together and start treating your customers right. I promise it will be a WIN/WIN.

I love the transparency with this! Deeply appreciate watching your videos for not having to sugar coat the issues! I've also noticed the color misleading and it also is the smallest bottle out of the brands I have. Out of the ones you've mentioned, I have Hygge and Velvetine, and I completely agree with these being winter staples! I forgot about them, so I think I'll have to revisit them! 🥰

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I found Cirque relatively "late", my first collection was the Afterglow collection in Spring 2021 (Nectar and Rosé All Day will never stop being my favorite toppers) I think and they became my favorite brand then. The stuff they brought out could be either pretty inventive and edgy, or they could be really dainty and sophisticated, and as someone that definitely goes for both, they fit so well in my repertoire. But all the issues lately.. The laughably bad photoshopping? Like they are so bad that they're not even false advertising, it's just an insult to their own product and their customers. Like it straight up looks like a middle schooler getting to play with Photoshop, I can not comprehend how they think that's how they want to represent their company. It will never stop baffling me how they run their business the last year, but it's good for my wallet I suppose, there's more collections to skip 😅 It gives me a chance to check out other brands as well, but it hurts to see one of my genuine faves just do this to themselves and their customers.

UGH omg the chokehold Afterglow had on me!!! I totally get what you mean about their collections at the time & absolutely agree too. but i knowww the photoshopping was so bad I once had to email them to let them know lol 🫣 it was obvious they were trying to deepen up the swatch photo but somehow didn’t realize they got the paint on the swatchers skin around her nails?? It really was so embarrassing to see! A lot of their polishes are beautiful and don’t even NEED to be edited, its so strange that they do it anyway. but haha yeah the silver lining is being able to save $ even if it means just to spend it on another brand 😝

@@PolishedYogi Yeah, I feel like the magnetics are some of the worst Photoshop jobs, like even Cassopeia that really doesn't need help to look stunning, they tried to use some kind of selection tool and just colored one of the swatches really oddly grayish blue. I have emailed them a few times as well where it's just absurd and like you say, unnecessary! It's not needed! They're doing such a bad job they're making stuff look worse rather than better. I guess it's a good lesson in not being married to a brand, but rather review every product individually without the brand affiliation 😅

i really appreciate all the best of brands videos you have been doing!! i haven't been able to comment on everything but thank you for the effort you've put in. it's really helpful to see what you like and don't like, and how the colors appear outside of the promotional shots! i was happy with my cirque purchases and mystery freebies they've done in the past, but was a bit put off from them once I heard about their recent lucky bag fiasco (and also the lackluster halloween? collection they put out). i'm not against purchasing from them again but there are so many brands with better pricing and customer service (and equally beautiful shades if not more beautiful) that it would take a lot to gravitate towards cirque again

I love Reflektor! It’s one of my favorite polishes! I also love spotted, it’s really unique. I still don’t think anybody else has offered anything like it. Mood Ring is also one of my faves. And another one I rarely hear anyone mention is the multichrome ’new wave’. It’s a blue to purple shift, which I love. Sorry, I feel like I’ve hogged the comments section on this video 😂 but i have a lot to say this time, I guess, lol.

Thanks so much for showing swatches! I've also had some disappointment with how Cirque looks on the website vs in person. I actually had them change the description of one of their polishes on the website because it was so different in person.

Great video as usual! The wonky brush issue kind of irritates me. Like why? But I emailed customer service and they sent me a bunch of new brushes. I bought two colors that extremely disappointed me when I got them home: Light as Feather and Embers. The swatches made them look way better than they actually were. The Cirque’s creams are magical and you are right, they work even with wonky skinny brushes. Amazing stuff!

thank you! and agh i knowww, like even when other brands still used skinny brushes I didn’t have nearly as many wonky ones as with Cirque 😩 and ohh those shades look so beautiful, its so disappointing to hear they pale in comparison irl 😔 & I know those cremes are pricey but I def think the formulas are worth it imo! so perfect on their own or in some nail art!

Love your picks! Cirque makes amaaaazing polishes! It's probly one of my top 2 or 3 fav brands. The brush (pre paddle).. not gonna talk about it 😅 but i'm such a fan of most of their formulas! Their jellies are 🤌 I actually really loved the bubbly polishes.. but yes.. you are absolutely right about the missing holo. Mine all look like silver shimmer pretty much. Oh, and the unlucky bags thing was 💩. I stray from such sales & advents as well.

thank you so much!! and yeah they were def like my top 3 but maybe have fallen down a few spots 😅 yess their jellies are such standouts!! i’ve loved them all 😍 and aw im glad youbstill did like your bubbly polishes! i did think some colors were pretty, but only when you don’t look at them comparing the website photos 😬 i do feel bad for a lot of people that ordered from that Lucky bag sale but at the same time i wasnlike what did you expect lol 🙈 but i’m not big into mystery bags to begin with!

I appreciate your honesty very much. It's always difficult to give criticism to brands you like, but I hope Cirque is smart enough to learn from it. Personally, I'd want less frequent releases from them next year. I also wish they would bring back old favorites, instead of constantly trying to be trendy and hyping up new formulas that actually aren't that good. And while I personally haven't had any experience with their customer support (I only order them through stockists), I have heard from others that it certainly needs improvement.

thank you so much for this! yeah I really hope so too, I feel like we all know Cirque is so much better than what they’ve been doing lately.. and omg YES that’s something else I’ve been thinking about but for all brands too. the monthly releases are so much!! I think that would be a great idea too, to bring back old favorites. I know they do for Vice, and did it maybe 2 years ago with some of their magnetics, but there’s soo many others they can reintroduce!

Go off queeeeeeeennnnn So firstly I love Hygge but at least mine looks more green-leaning than the pictures on the website, which was a bit of a bummer to be honest. Luckily Velvetine didnt stray too far. I think I also saw the same video you mentioned about the lucky bags, I think she bought 2 and had at least 2 dupes. At first I wasnt interested but ended up watching the whole thing lol I've only really dealt with customer service once during their birthday sale this year. I remember that like everyone except whoever was posting to socials just disappeared for like a week or so. I think that was the longest I had to wait for my order to ship, even during a sale. I think it was like 1 or 2 weeks after I placed it. And then they extended the damn sale. I was so close to just canceling my order! But... I am in the rewards program and there's still a bunch of polishes I want... so unless they do something that really doesn't align with my morals and values, I'm gonna keep shopping with them in the future. Also I now have two of their shimmergraphics and I gotta say, I've kinda warmed up to the formula. Still not the biggest fan of the relatively large amount of holo but the colors really drew me in and it does sparkle a ton. I got Last Unicorn and Pixie Holo btw. I'm so glad the purple/indigo shimmer looks pretty much like the pictures, it's my favorite shimmer color now! Pixie Holo's colors just really really drew me in, plus I used to play the online game and I love love love fairy stuff. Did you ever get to play it? The only thing I disliked about it was that most of the fun stuff was locked behind a paywall lol

hehe thank youu arianna!! and ugh noo i’m so sorry to hear your bottle of Hygge was more green leaning! Idk when you bought it but I hope you got a refund and maybe a replacement too! I know some color variance exists but its just crazy to not list those as a discounted product bc it very obviously does not meet the expectations set by their own marketing 🙄 and yess her vid has like 2k views I was happy to see it have so many considering she just started her channel lol! omg yess I remember people ALSO having issues with their (lack of) communication around the birthday sale, yeah extending it was NOT the move lol. totally understand though about still giving them a chance, I have heard their rewards program is actually pretty good so i can see it being worth it. and yeah I know their whole trademarking Shimmergraphics was taken the wrong way too lol 🙈 I just don’t find it much different than Mooncat’s Ultra Fine Flakies or Holo Taco’s Crushed Holographics, these are finishes that obvs exist in other brands, they just wanted a cute lil name for their own line! I’m glad you did end up liking Pixie Holo, it is sooo pretty and magical! I actually never played but it sounds sooo cute omg 🥹🧚♀️

I think your critiques are fair! Personally, I have WAY too much polish to buy thermals with their potential shelf life, but I remember seeing that there were issues with the pigment. I’ve had some excellent CS experiences with Cirque, but they’ve definitely had some issues in that area recently. I feel like they hit a series of bumps during the early/peak COVID period and didn’t recover well/fully. The quality of releases seems like it’s more back to normal this year, and I hope we’ll see them continue to recover. I love and have a ton of Cirque polishes, and it would be so sad to see them tank. I understand folks being frustrated with the lucky bag situation, and they definitely should have recommended a single bag per person. The flip side is that they were $25 for five polishes or last year’s advent calendar. Still disappointing, but at least not horrifically overpriced. I totally agree that the boycotting thing seems silly to me. There are brands that I don’t purchase from and the reasons vary, but they primarily have to do with brand/leadership ethics not aligning with my own. We’re all human, but repeated problematic behavior isn’t something I choose to support.

thank you!! omg yeah while I do think some thermals are cool/pretty, they really are NOT practical 😅 i’ve seen a lott of complaints more recently regarding their CS (or lack of) and it does make me wonder if there’s just a lot of changes happening to their team that we just don’t know about that’s causing these issues? idk, what else right? and yes! I totally agree with you where this year seemed to have better collections overall, the worst I think were the Halloween tinted bases 😬 also absolutely agree that they shouldn’t have kept the 2 bag limit ESP once they were putting duplicates in ONE bag!! so crazy they thought that was okay, and then emailed people back saying oh you can give away the extras! like what!! lol and yes exactly, like I definitely do not condone these business practices and hope they actually listen to the feedback and more importantly changeee moving forward! it would be so disappointing to consider Cirque in the same category as other brands I don’t support, like I knoww they shouldn’t be there 😩

I only have 4 polishes from Cirque, my first non-mainstream brand purchase. The amount you get(11 mL) for the price point is pretty hefty ($12.50-16.50) I would love to get the Kelli Marissa collaboration and try their shimmergraphic polishes but can’t swing the price🙁. Thanks for giving us your honest opinions about this brand as a whole😊💗

ahh yeah i know, both the Kelli and mxmtoon collab polishes were even pricier than usual! since they were back to back, it made me think they had done another price increase, but it seems like the more recent shimmergrahpics are $14.50 which is the same as their shimmers.. so I think maybe the high prices for the collabs were so Kelli and Maia would get a cut from them? i’m not sure.. but thank you so much!! 🫶🏼

omg I had the same experience with Fata Morgana! I was super disappointed I spent so much money on a polish that looked nothing like the photos AND ended up looking horrible against my pink toned skin.

Oh my gosh, Stefanie, I recently had the same experience with Fata Morgana! I was salivating over the promo photos, it looks like the polish of my dreams, but when I got it I was pissed bc it’s an ugly gray beige with gold shimmer 😂 It looks like chewed up gum in the bottle 😂 Luckily customer service refunded me. Now I’m in search of a polish that looks exactly like the promo photo! That said, Cirque’s “delicate holographic sparkle” polishes are some of my favorite polishes ever.

Newer cirque colors have the paddle brush. They have a bunch of stuff in the “mixed too much” sale, and I think that’s their attempt to get rid of bottles with thin brushes.

I couldn't find it. Do they come with. a cap that works? I have wider brushes that could be a replacement, but they won't fit in the old lid. It has a wider base that goes into the old cap. @@Diametricallyopposed00

@@cynthiajfaulkner8655 I think KZfaq deleted it 😡 I have absolutely had it with KZfaq deleting comments. Grrrrrr. Anyway, I buy the brushes from color club, pull them out of the caps they come with (they are white). I pull the old brushes out of the cirque caps and replace them with the color club brush, it works great. You just put the brush in the bottle, and screw the cap down. I’ve been using them for over a year in my cirque polishes and have had no trouble. Color club has 50% off sales every few months, so I buy them in bulk then. So, the color club brushes fit in the existing cirque caps. Hope that helps

ahh sorry to reply so late. but i think KBshimmer or Glisten & Glow has even cheaper brush AND cap replacements (i think kb is 33 cents a piece) - you definitely need to get replacements with the caps because yeah for whatever reason cirque’s caps are a weird shape. i hope that helps!

You clean your nails so well (I’m assuming with a clean up brush), do you mind showing how you accomplish that? Try as I might, it rarely looks that nice when I try to clean my cuticles/fingers of paint with my clean up brush. Either way, you make wonderful videos! Thanks for the work you do! aw thank you so much for such a sweet comment! and for these type of swatch videos i’ll actually use my thumbnail to wipe away the polish because its a lot faster haha 😅 and if my skin is still messy/stained i’ll go in with a cleanup brush after. what brush are you using? i really like Cirque’s because its angled, somewhat short and more on the stiff side, i find softer brushes don’t give me a nice clean edge. I love your picks! I also Love- Dragon’s Dungeon, Matcha, Rosewater Jelly, Morningtide and Fuyu Jelly! Matcha is one of my favorite creams, hands down. And the recent Dragon’s Dungeon is epic. I definitely want to try 24K affair Ohana and Rockaway- thank you for the recs! I love their looking glass top coat but agree- would prefer a wide brush. Oh! Also the peel off base- you just have to wait a long time for it to dry before painting- which is annoying. A few of my favs that you didn’t mention: Kushy, Golden Nights, Sour Punch, Rumor Mill, Mystic Moonstone and Game Over. (I realize these aren’t all available right meow) I didn’t know about these swatch photoshopped issues! But definitely Not Cool. It’s so unfortunate because they have great polishes! I don’t get why lol. If they don’t like the look of them, change the polish in the first place. Thanks for a great video! Sorry about such a long comment 😂💕

UGH yes I can’t recommend 24k, Ohana & Rockaway enough, they’re sooo pretty!! yeah thankfully we can get replacement brushes for super cheap from brands like KBShimmer or Glisten & Glow, its easy enough to replace those but yeah I wish I had more patience with their peel off base, maybe its just not for me 🙈 omg your favs are soo good!! Mystic Moonstone is absolutely stunning, as are the others. Sour Punch is so fun!! Like you said, this isn’t unique to Cirque but the color inaccurate photos are a huge annoyance in my book. And also confusing…like, if we purchase the polish, we’re going to see that it’s different…hello!?

I know sometimes brands can have one photo (or swatcher) that really makes the polish stand out bc maybe they have a few fancy lights, but its just not how the polish looks 99% of the time so why show that?? 😩

So interesting, I tend to never hear about brand drama so this is all news to me! Sucks that they have now established a bad track record with customer service 😢 I agree though that it’s bad but not boycott worthy to me, personally 😅 I love nearly all of the Cirque polishes I have purchased, I think they’re pricey but so, so pretty despite the tiny brushes. I have a lot of the same faves, but I do also have a ton of their flakies since I like those a lot, too! And I just tried their speckles during their last sale and they are phenomenal and I’m a convert 😂 Fun video as always! Thanks for being honest!

it can be pretty easy to miss especially if you aren’t on reddit, that’s usually where the most brand drama is discussed 😅 I think since they eventually decided to resend replacements to the people who got duplicates in their lucky bag, they’re slowlyyy starting to win some favor back.. but not much. its gonna take time though. I’m really glad that you’ve loved all the Cirque shades you’ve bought though! you might be one of the lucky few lol. yeah their flakies are really nice!! and the speckled ones too, I don’t give those enough love honestly but I think they’re amazing and def prefer those over ilnp’s speckled line! thank you so much for watching!! 🫶🏼

I’m an internet hermit 🤣 everyone who told me I “needed” to get on those are now the people bemoaning how bad it is and that they need to quit for their mental health 😅 but it does seem useful for info and background on some important issues! Oh, I’m also pretty easy to please with polish I admit. Do I own it? Well, then I like it 🤣 100% understand the criticisms though, and there are tons of brands so people might as well invest in things they love and avoid what they don’t! But videos like yours help people take a look at brands without judgement so they can decide on their own if they like them or not ✨ Excited to see more brands!

My issue with the lucky bag fiasco was that the people who spent more money (bought two bags instead of one) were the ones who got the worst bags. I understand that there can be duplicates in a mystery grab bag but it was literally the same order twice. The way it was packed made it so obvious that it was done this way on purpose. If you don’t have enough variety, just limit it to one bag or maybe don’t do the mystery bag sale at all. I love their jellies so I’ll keep buying those but that incident left such a bad impression on me.

omg yeah, the bags got progressively worse the later they were ordered! I saw someone order 2 bags and got like 4 pairs of duplicates out of the 10 🫣 it also was extra bad because i’m pretty sure this happened after Color Club did their mystery polishes for $1 or something, and on their website they apparently said there wouldn’t be any duplicates in orders up to 20 maybe?? idr exactly but it was a high number and soo enticing!! so to see how bad it was from cirque where yeah, it literally looked like they had a selection of 6 polishes lol, is just insane. idk how they thought that would be a good idea, like they didn’t think anyone would be annoyed??

I have Soda Shoppe from the bubbly collection and I will admit I was disappointed when I first saw the bottle and swatched it, it doesn't look holo at all. But it takes a few hours for the holo to 'develop' I guess, and when it does, it's beautiful! Easily one of my favourite polishes. I will agree that the stock photo for that and their other multichromes (esp Dream Within a Dream) look really photoshopped, so I always try and look for swatch reviews before I buy.

yeah I have seen some pretty photos in the sun where the holo does show up, i do remember it being stronger in some shades more than others too! ugh yeah I remember so many people hating that about Dream Within A Dream too.. most of their polishes look great irl so idk why they need to edit photos so much 😩 its annoying to essentially make the customers have to rely on swatchers outside of their website, I really hope they’ll get better about it next year!

Interestingly, the Paint N’ Peel Base Coat is the only one with contains wide brush on it yet. Hygge is my fave, so I did the wide brush switch. Ohana is one I’m drawn to wear again. I had Velvetine and Fata Morgana on my possible lists, so that’s good to know.

I really appreciate this video, there are a few shades I would love to pick up from them if they have a good sale next week. I only have two shades, Citrine and Ex Machina and I do like them a lot. My gripe is definitely the price point for the bottle size. It makes me want to use the polishes less due to using them too quickly, especially if some take three coats. Some of their more recent polishes are beautiful, but there just hasn't been a collection that really wowed me. I understand some polishes need to be sheer for the shimmers to shine through, but I don't always like having to do three coats and some of the recent collections have a lot of three coaters from what I see in swatch videos. Rant over, haha.

oh man yeah I really hope their BF sale is actually good, they’ve done SOO many 20% sales the last few months! and ohh I actually don’t have either of those 🙈 but they do look pretty, i’m glad that you actually do like them and weren’t disappointed! yeah they definitely have released a lott of sheer/shimmery polishes this past year and I get not everyone loves that, it does make sense from a more practical perspective where doing a full mani is gonna use a LOT of polish.. I know it’s kind of counterintuitive since you’d have to do an extra coat anyway, but it might be worth using a creme base or something just to use at least one less coat of the shimmer!

Is Mooncat considered a Boutique brand? Or just indie? I originally had thought they were more expensive compared to Cirque, but now that you bring up the bottle size I see what you mean! I definitely have been wanting less from their new collections lately, but also won a giveaway so I didn’t have to purchase those picks (I am excited for all the polishes I got tho, and even chose two of your faves: Morningtide & Rosewater jelly!). Hoping Cirque makes a comeback as well! 🥲 they still make some gems tho. Also v happy they brought back the snowy speckled polish to be purchased this time 🤩 absolutely excited to use that this winter 🤗

i totally agree, cirque has been really disappointing me lately with all of the stuff you mentioned! one of my fave brands but lately i’ve been like :( another collection that i felt really had an issue with photoshopping was the glazed collection (it was a bunch of jellies). like their swatches were so clearly photoshopped to have the polishes right up to the edges of the nails and it’s just like… oh i do not trust how that polish would look irl at all! (i feel like ilnp has a similar issue frequently and they’re called out a LOT for it because they reuse the same base hand pictures lol. but yeah cirque did some bad photoshopping with that collection)

ugh yeah I feel like a lottt of us have been feeling this way for a while! like what are you doinggg Cirque 😫 and oh I don’t remember those Glazed swatches!! but I can envision what you’re talking about bc i’m pretty sure they’ve done that same thing with other collections.. remember that one silver magnetic they released, Chemistry? I had to email them bc they very obviously painted over the polish with grey to deepen the opacity, and somehow missed the spots of grey getting on the swatchers skin 🫠 like that’s so embarrassing!! and ooh I remember hearing that about ILNP too, that they reuse/photoshop new colors on the same photos.. whyyy do they do that lol 😩

The last two times I've ordered from Cirque during sales, they've shipped my order missing a color, only telling me on the order slip it's sold out. It feels dishonest. Why did you sell me an out of stock polish? If I'd known, I would have waited to order. Plus the brushes are always crooked or have wild little hairs. They used to be my fave, but for the price the quality isn't there for me right now 🤷🏼♀️

What a great brand review and I am completely with you - the shimmers would have to be my favorites. If I would have to pick 2 I would choose Anchors Away and Heart of Glass. And the I love their neon/brights like Gameover or Skyhigh. I have a love/hate relationship with them since their founding year 2012. They had amazing holos and glitters that just never dried. So I stepped away for some time. Then they fixed it and I tried again and LOVED their releases. Coronation is a lifetime favorite and I still have the ring it came with. And now I dare say it all feels halfhearted once more. I am so disappointed about all the jellies. I like the color range and like to see them on others but they‘re just not for me with my sturdy, ridged, discolored nails. I couldn‘t stand seeing them all day. Having misleading promo pics on the website and then blaming monitors feels so last decade. And just saying ILNP was founded the same year and I am sure they had to overcome challenges as well yet their outpour never felt halfhearted.

ahhh I was SO close to also including Anchors Away!! Heart of Glass is also a beauty, I haven’t worn that one in a whilee! & yes absolutely agree their Vice shades are another standout too, definitely their most anticipated release each year and its hard to mess up neons these days lol. but agh yeah its just so frustrating :( I know we tend to see these highs and lows with every brand at some point, but it just feels like a lot of their lows could soo easily be avoided. I think maybe they’ve become almost too reliant on their jellies? like they’re leaning into the fact that that’s really the only line setting them apart from other brands? at least that’s what it feels like after how many jellies they released this year! I can totally understand the frustration with them though, I think they’re definitely a lot more flattering with a tinted/blurring base coat for sure and that’s usually how I would wear them myself! and YES their excuse for misleading swatch photos is absolutely insanee in the year of 2023 lol !! speaking of ILNP, I have seen they also faced similar criticisms regarding their photos being photoshopped, but I think it was less to do about the color accuracy and more about not “realistic” swatches if that makes sense? I really don’t know if they still do that, but their swatch videos are super reliable!

Yeah, I agree with your analysis of Cirque's issues and an appropriate response. We know there are brands that have done more egregious, harmful things than bad customer service. My personal experience was poor customer service, which, for me, means I'm less likely to purchase from them. This makes me wonder if others have a similar experience, does Cirque feel this in their bottom line?

Wow, I have Fata Morgana (bought a couple years ago?) and it looks way different than yours! Definitely has a lot more purple in it, and is one of my favourite polishes. I feel that there might be some inconsistencies either with their swatches/photos and/or batches? Some of the polishes I've gotten from them have definitely been way off from swatches I've seen online and I was super disappointed, while others were pretty accurate. Now this makes me even more worried that I'm running low on my favourites from them!

This happened to me with Pink Lemonade, instead of a pinky peach, it was just orange. At first I thought I misinterpreted the photos ( and I may have ) but I think what happened is they mixed new batches, and the color was just way off. I think I found a photo of this at some point because someone had bought a backup, and when they compared them they did not match at all. Anyway, I never ordered from them again after that...

that’s a bit reassuring to hear that yours is actually purple! yeah it does make me think its just some color variance between batches which I understand can happen, but ugh so frustrating to get lol. and yeah exactly its happened to me before too with shades like Paloma and Padparadscha, where they just don’t look like the photos, but then i’ll hear someone’s complaints about a diff shade but mine is a 100% match! funny enough, like @1603holly mentioned with their Pink Lemonade looking orange but mine is definitely that peachy pink! it really can be so off putting 😩

I luckily don't have to deal with cirque customer service as I order from a stockist, but I was very surprised when I saw how they handled the lucky bag situation. Too used to hearing all the good customer service stories from other nail polish brands that the bad service really stands out. I have also felt a bit of a downward slide from them recently but I'm hoping they are able to make some changes and turn it around as I do really like their polishes for the most part.

I love Morningtide, and their shimmers but I started the brand with a mistery bag last year and got the thermals: wavy baby and flower power 😢 so disappointed they bubble like crazy on me :( it was so bad I haven’t tried them again but i did not know what was going on so I did not think about them so much. I do have purchased some of the newest stuff and I’m satisfied tho.

aw i’m so sorry your first foray into Cirque was with those thermals 😩 they really were not up to par.. some of the colors I did like but yeah I remember them just trying down oddly textured, and several of them had unmixed pigment too.. plus thermals have a notoriously lower shelf life :( but i’m glad you gave them another chance bc they do have some beauties!!

I love their magnetics cause they have that jelly base and it's not busy (some of my recent magnetics from another brand where it's just so busy), but also Dream Within a Dream was a disappointment as it did NOT look like the reference photo. It's pretty, but is not at all like the photos they included. Also love their multichromes.

yeah I totally get other magnetics can be too busy for some people! but ooo yeah, I get wanting to show just how shifty a multichrome is, but it really is insanely misleading to just edit the photos with all the colors it has, when they’re not ALL visible at the same time 😣

I really loved the Surfer’s Crush collection this year, and I agree with you about the magnetics! I was disappointed with the thermals (pigment specks, noooo!) and the Halloween collection this year (too little pigment, there was no color, alas!) but I generally love them. I appreciate this. I have found their customer service to be largely unresponsive lately, which always concerns me. I do wait for sales to pick up colors I really want. But do you find their dry time is longer (even in thin coats) than others? That’s become my biggest hesitation in buying.

Yes! I can’t wear the jellies because they don’t dry, and I ruin my manicure every single time! 😡 I’ve tried QDTC and every other topcoat and nothing matters.

ugh I’m sorry to hear that, I really do hope they get back to you soon. it makes me wonder if there’s just a lot of changes they’re going thru on the back end thats causing these disruptions.. and no personally I haven't had an issue with their dry time! I can see jellies taking a bit longer to dry down though, but doing thinner coats solves that for me personally.

Cirque was my first indie brand. And while Im super picky about what I pick up from them (mostly vice and jellies) so I'm never really disappointed. But they are waay expensive

I have not yet bought from Cirque, but I have been interested in their jellies and the shimmer graphic formula in recent months. However, for me the price point alone has been a turn-off, between the smaller bottles *and* being more expensive right out of the gate. That being said, I still plan to try someday (when I have money I guess lol) and I will be sure to remember the warnings about freebie polishes! I will say, as relatively frequent Holo Taco purchaser, when I participated in their 12 Days of Cristmas, free mystery polish added to your purchase day, I got Matcha Maker, a creme that is beloved and was soon discontinued. I also heard other people online getting other good polishes for their freebie. So I’m glad for the warning about Cirque because I might have also assumed they’d be like HT 😅

The Paint n Peel base is the only peely base I have Now that you mention the slow dry down I'm thinking maybe it's Cirque's formula and not that I don't understand the point of peel base coats. All I know is I do NOT have the patience for that goo to dry down 😅

Maybe my expectations are low, because I'm usually the opposite. I'm usually surprised how gorgeous the shimmers are in person vs. the photos. And what do people expect for Lucky Bag? Bestsellers? I definitely feel like Cirque could improve with the accuracy of their swatch photos, as well as the quantity. I feel like they rarely have enough swatch pictures on different hands for some reason. Like in their new Atelier collection there’s only 3 swatches (and the other 3 photos are just promo bottle shots). I would appreciate more swatches from them. Also, Stefanie you just found my perfect terracotta shade!! I’ve been looking for one forever and had Cirque’s Bowery on my list for a while but decided it was too red, and then voila you present Arabesque. So thankful haha.

Cirque has been on my to-buy list for a few months now. I don't have anything from them yet, but they are definitely on my radar thanks to Color Expression and Kelli Marissa. They have a huge amount of polishes that appeal to me, and I do plan on placing an order eventually (just gotta budget lol). All that being said, I really appreciate your honest review because it lets me know what to look out for. It doesn't come across as bashing the brand or anything. And I completely agree that there are a lot more serious offenses out there to consider when buying nail polish. Thanks for making me a more informed polish shopper 🥰

yeah they definitely have had a great reputation for years that I feel only recently started to get tarnished, but it just feels like its happening SO fast and over these silly things they could’ve avoided, so it sucks to see as someone who loves them you know! 😩 but thank you so much for hearing me out, and so glad you agree about the more serious offenses being reasons to boycott a brand! I definitely don’t think Cirque deserves to be in that same camp, but it’s hard to stand by a lot of these business practices too 😅

The Illusion collection is still the best magnetics that I have in terms of how strong and contrasting the magnetic effect is. I have magnetics with more interesting color and effect combos but none magnetize as easily as the Illusions. The other magnetics from Cirque are a bit meh, they all have just a silver magnetic pull which I find boring (although not holo level boring!). The only polishes I still get from Cirque are jellies, that’s really their staple formula to me. Everything else I tend to buy from small indie brands, they are just more exciting to me.

I love Cirque. It is probably one of my largest collections. I love all their variety of finishes, especially the facets line and the shimmers, as well as the new shimmergraphics! I almost never actually look at their website photos because of how sadly inaccurate they can be. I really really on your channel, and other swatchers IG and channels to really get a better idea of what the colors actually look like. And that is kinda sad in a way because they are really missing the mark. Most people are not like us nail polish obsessies who are gonna watch all the KZfaq’s and look for swatches. The majority of people are buying straight off the website photos. I know someone who bought a color that looked so different and they contacted them, and they legit said…well, sorry it didn’t live up to your expectations. And that was it! No, we are so sorry, let us exchange that for you for something else. But on the flip side, when I have had lost packages from cirque, they have replaced it for me no questions asked. I also almost never will get in on one of their sales where they are pedaling older products off to get rid of them. This last lucky bag I think almost everyone got that advent calendar from the previous year. 😆 One think I didn’t realize was how expensive they were per volume! 😱 I don’t really pay attention so much to that. But it kind of blew my mind! I’ll leave off with 3 colors I think everyone needs in their collection: Succulent Garden, Plush Suede, and Dioptase. 🥰

Cirque was one of my first boutique brands, but I haven't bought from them this year. Usually, I buy their birthday polish to wear on my birthday as they fall around the same time, but they only made it as a gift with purchase, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Then there was the mystery bag fiasco. The customer service response to that was not good initially. Plus, the only collections that have grabbed my interest are the Kelli Marissa collection an their new fairy tale one, but $16.50 for one bottle?! Ooof.

aw that’s a shame you had to miss out on their birthday polish this year, yeah I didn’t love the high threshold for their GWP items 😩 I am glad they seemed to be sending out better replacements for everyone who got duplicates, but its crazy how it could’ve been so easily avoided in the first place.. and I knoww the shimmergraphics from Kelli’s collection being nearly $17 felt like a gut punch ☠️ I’m assuming the collab shades were higher prices so that Kelli [and Maia] would get a cut? bc the Far Away ones are $14.50 like their normal shimmer polishes.. 🤔

ugh i know right!! :( but omg if you want something like the original picture, i highly recommend ILNP’s Lilac Bridges!! i got it recommended to me and picked it up over black friday, i believe i swatched it in a video called “Swatching my ILNP Black Friday Haul” and i show Lilac Bridges next to the photo of Fata Morgana and it looks pretty spot on!! i’ve heard a lot of people also be upset over Rose Quartz, i never had that one but i’m pretty sure there’s an ILNP dupe for it too! i remember now liking Chroma Rose but only bc i wasn’t super into multichromes, were the pictures of that one and Neo off as well? they have a bad habit of over editing their photos :/

I think I did happen to see the video of the Cirque customer talking about the mystery bags. One of the reasons I don't like mystery bags. As for Fata Morgana, you might have gotten a bad bottle. My bottle of Fata Morgana is pink. From what people have said about their customer service though, they probably would have said. "Oh well try to enjoy the grayish version of Fata Morgana, because...oh well." 😁 I do love Cirque however, and I will continue to pay way too much for a midget sized bottle of polish. I just can't resist those sparkly things.

Fata Morgana is one of my all time favorite nail polishes.. I even bought a backup bottle recently lol (also because it was discounted but ok) I have a lot of nail polishes from various brands, but very few backups, so it says something.. I do remember though that when I bought it a couple of years ago, thinking that it wasn't as purpley as I had imagined, but oh boy.. I think it's a stunning polish. Something else: I want to say this in the nicest way, because I think you're a lovely girl, but I personally feel that the long rant about what is wrong, and bad, and you don't recommend, and repeating things you've said before, about what they've done in the past with collections / promotions, etc.. is just a bit tasteless. I always appreciate an honest opinion, but I think it can be expressed in a different, maybe less obvious way. I'm sure it's not your intention to sound negative, and who knows, maybe it's just me that interprets it that way. But I just want to make you aware that this is the feeling I get, listening to that. Even though you're completely correct in what you are actually referring to. I hope this makes sense (look who's going on a rant now) Lastly: I hope I didn't hurt your feelings, I'm still a fan and a subscriber to your channel, always looking forward to your content. since you bought your backup of Fata Morgana recently, was it the same as your first bottle or even more faded? I think I got mine in July so I figured it was from an old/faded stock :( I’m glad you really love yours though! and.. I do want to start by saying thank you for sharing your opinion Lili, I appreciate that you don’t want to hurt my feelings and I know it can be hard to express something difficult in a nice way that’s received well. I won’t say my feelings got hurt necessarily, but I did feel a bit defensive at the word tasteless. I understand I may have repeated myself with some of these issues and yes, while not my intention to sound negative, its hard to cover up the frustration and disappointment I was feeling, which does come across in this video. maybe I could have spent more time scripting out what I want to say so it comes across more articulate or succinct, but I’m glad you agree that the frustration is warranted because they’ve been having issues for over a year now. I think I just want to make it clear to my viewers/audience how I feel as someone who gets PR and occasionally works with Cirque (they probably won’t want to work with me after this though); I see the issues and feel the frustration too. I think it puts their PR people almost in an awkward place because we’re expected to always share positive things, and I do not want to contribute to that at all, especially when the customer base hasn’t been happy. I’m genuinely curious to know what you think would’ve been a better, less obvious way to share these ‘negative’ opinions, would have saying “I know they have done ABC and are failing to do XYZ, and I just don’t agree with them for that” be enough?

I'm sorry for that. I think your content overall in fact is very tasteful, the way you present, and speak is very charming, and I think you are very likable. I admit, I felt a little bit like a hypocrite after writing the comment, and even thought about deleting it. Because we're all humans and trying to do our best, right? So, why did I think it was my place to say all that, which was also quite negative. I always try to be self aware, and I once heard that: the things that irritate us, are the things we dislike about ourselves (or something like that) and I felt a bit irritated when you were saying "all the bad stuff". I guess I felt it was a bit too much, lasted too long, I'm not quite sure.. maybe I was just in a bad mood. Brighter purple pigments are known to fade over time pretty badly. It looks like your bottle of Morgana was a victim of this fading and was either super old stock or a bad batch. If you bought it recently, it's worth reaching out for a replacement.

so interesting, I never knew about this! and its weird considering how many other, even brighter purples I have in my collection that haven’t faded.. maybe they just got cheaper/worse quality pigment?? they did offer a replacement but I passed on it, assuming I would just end up with 2 of the same shade I didn’t want lol 😓 but yeah I assumed it was just old. I wish they would list older/faded polishes at a discount!

I didn’t realize that they were the ones who edited their swatchers’ photos. Do you know if that is true for most/all brands? I never even thought to cross reference with the swatchers’ socials.

I think generally yes, its the brands and not the swatchers who will edit the photos! but I can’t speak for everyone, I know there are some swatchers with very high quality setups (professional cameras, multiple studio lights etc) that make me think they might also edit their photos, but even then it seems more for some color correction. I think Cirque (and mooncat last year lol) claimed they would “color correct” their pics but its just a night and day difference for some of the polishes. Thankfully enough people bullied mooncat into not doing that anymore lol. and yeah unfortunately the swatchers dont always post their own swatch pics, but honestly maybe it wouldnt hurt to DM them to ask to see their original photos lol

I feel like every brand has some consistency issues. for example mooncat polishes have a horrifying formula and holo tacos brushes are bad. I appreciate cirques values, I love their polishes so this is why I choose to support them

@rosasinger8565 this is definitely true! no brand is perfect and they all will face issues at some point. I have seen a lot of issues recently on reddit regarding mooncat’s formulas, which is so unfortunate and concerning to see considering i’ve rarelyy had that experience with them. but its not entirely surprising considering there’s going to be some variances in their batches, it still sucks when you get stuck with one of the bad ones! I do hope the people who haven’t been happy with mooncats formulas reach out for either replacements or refunds, i’ve heard great things about their CS similar to HT where they will do their best to make it right. and yes ultimately agree that I totally stand by Cirque’s values!

I bought one from that collection and I’m thinking about adding something to it to spice it up because I never wear it. Maybe some more pigment or more holo or something. They really bombed on that collection IMO.

Can’t handle the thin flimsy brushes. I have more of their polishes with those than the newer brushes. I’m also not loving the similar shades within the Cirque line. New releases will often look like too much like already existing shades. ILNP has my heart more. In addition, their range is outstanding. Brushes & formulas better imo.

ugh totally get that, i’m sure you probably know this already but you can get a ton of replacement brushes (with caps) from KBShimmer or Glisten and Glow for literal pennies !! the ‘downside’ is that the replacement caps would be black, but if your collection is mainly older shades then it wont matter lol. & yeah i’ve noticed that too and don’t loveee that. I know it happens with every brand at some point, but still. yess ILNP kind of always wins when compared to other boutique brands! I know they can also be a bit guilty of releasing shades similar to exisintg colors too though 🙈 but generally its worth it for the price/formula/brush lol

I feel like I’m losing my mind. I had a long post here about replacing cirques brushes with color club brushes and it’s gone. I’m so over KZfaq deleting comments. EDIT: Since this post seems to be safe, I’ll rewrite what I had. It won’t be quite as well organized 😂 Color club brushes fit the cirque caps. You just pop the brushes out the of the white caps they come in and they will fit in the cirque caps. I don’t think the CC caps will screw onto the cirque bottles, but I’ve never tried it. I just remove them and throw away the caps they come with. They are under the lacquer section of the CC website under ‘treatments’. I usually wait for CC to have a 50% off sale, and I buy a bunch. I’ve been using them in my cirque polishes for about a year, and I’ve had no issues, they work great. Hope this helps someone enjoy their pre-wide brush polishes. It’s a lot cheaper than buying what cirque is offering for brush replacements.

@@jane_7375_ I updated it back with the original info. That was so frustrating, to write it all out and have it disappear! I used some special characters, so maybe that’s why. Sometimes I can ever figure it out. Hope it saves you some $$ ☺️

I’ll even have that issue on my end when I’m replying to people, its so frustrating esp when it was a longer comment so seriously thank you for taking the time to retype everything 🫶🏼 that’s really good to know CC brushes fit in the cirque caps!! I was only familiar with KBShimmer and Glisten & Glow being good replacements, but I believe you’d have to replace the whole cap instead of just replacing the brushes, so i can see that being a con esp for people with newer cirque collections that want to keep the white caps. but KB and GG brushes are like penniessss, so it seems worth it to bulk order! but CC does sound like a great option too since they do have 50% sales!!

@@PolishedYogi yes, the only reason I choose color club is because I wan to keep my existing caps :) thanks for responding. This deleting comments thing is really getting to me lately. I should copy everything I write to the clipboard so if it disappears from YT, I still have it. I think my first message was more clear and coherent, but hopefully this will get the info to everyone without confusion 😂

I don't know when you bought fata morgana but i would see if you could get a refund. With a colorchange that drastic i would maybe just sent their customer service a picture of my nails with the polish and say "that is a fully different color than what you advertised and i would like my money back please". Especially since their not on the cheap end if i remember correctly

it was a few months ago during one of their sales, but yes I immediately reached out to them for a refund lol! I really should have attached a photo but I just had seen how they responded to other emails where its so.. dismissive, almost gaslighty? so I was like please just refund me for this lol. I actually did also mention cross referencing the shade on like 4 monitors to make sure 🤣 but yeah they’re def pricey, I think after the sale tho it was around $11-12? still would expect it to match the photos no matter the price though!

So interesting! Cirque is still one of my favorite brands, but for very different reasons you mentioned. I love love love their annual neon collection, a must have for me. And i find cirque's green polishes so very pretty 💚 As a european customer i buy via stockists, so a lot of criticism concerning their sales does't apply to me; we simply don't get sales via stockists 🥲

omg yes their Vice collection is great! I didn’t mention since they’re usually out of stock by Black Friday haha, but I def have loved those too 😍 and yeah they really do a lot of greens!! ahh the catch 22 abt buying through stockists lol I’m sorry you guys don’t get sales, but at least you don’t have to deal with.. all of this lol 🥲

I'm a long-time Cirque lover and yeah, this past year hasn't been their finest hour. Your critiques and disappointments are fair and mirror my own. I took a break from them this year b/c of them overcharging w/o upping the bottle size. I didn't really think about it until getting more into indies and seeing indies had 15ml bottles for at least $12-$13 which is a much better bargain. ILNP is 12ml, but at least they are priced lower. In a way Cirque's mistakes, and the price hike, made me curb and be more conscious of my purchases from them. It's gotta be a special color/style me to put the coins down. This is the lesson I learned. But Cirque should be mindful of their customers, esp. loyal ones, no excuse for formula inconsistencies and being lax on addressing concerns. Oh, and I loathe a bait-n-switch swatch, but will say I rarely get disappointed b/c I research like crazy going from nail blog swatches, Reddit posts, Lacquergram (super helpful cause the swatches can be so bad there 🫣I always go by the worse photo and if the polish still looks great then it's a good buy, lol), and def. swatch videos like yours (😉) With that said, I still root for them to turn it around b/c Cirque has some awesome polishes. I love them for their shimmers, neons, and jellies, and how wonderful they are at self-leveling, layering, and easy to apply. I just took Beatnik off and I'm glad you sung praises of their creams too. You picked some great ones, like my faves Halcyon (THE ultimate rose gold), Rockaway, Crystal Tokyo, Morningtide, Jade Jelly, and C'est Chic. I'll also add Succulent Garden, Mystic Moonstone, Fairy Floss, and Acid Wash as must buys. Sorry for the novel, lol

omg no need to apologize! I’m glad you agree though, yeah even aside from whatever bad promos or CS experiences they had, the price increase alone I know was enough to turn off a lot of people from shopping them. and especially with so many brands doing monthly releases, its just not sustainable anymore :( I do hope they make some changes for the better in 2024, I can’t imagine they think there’s nothing wrong and to just keep doing what they’re doing lol. and ugh I knowww I really should’ve looked up more swatches!! 😩 that makes so much sense to go off the worst looking photo lol I love that. I think what sucks though is there’s bound to be some variance among batches, like I recently saw a lot of people on reddit who ordered mooncats House of Hades be super disappointed in the formula/color. part of me is like.. they should’ve watched my video because I mentioned that 🤪 but seeing their swatch pics it really is like a bad bottle! but at least then they know for sure its worth getting a replacement. but yes ultimately I’m with you on holding out hope for Cirque to make a comeback! I do think it’ll be hard bc again, the high prices in such a saturated market won’t do them any favors.. but maybe they’ll embrace a more high end aesthetic altogether. thank you for sharing your favs though!! happy we have so many in common, and the others you mentioned are gorgeous too!! 🤩
