When it was my first time playing this on PS3, it was so chill watching this cutscene until I realized there’s a QTE at the end.

5:23 How can you not love this guy? Easily the best character in the entire game. In general the entirety of Shinada's part was a golden example of RGG at their best and also not being suffocated by the rest of the plot.

Shinada may not have mattered to the overall story in 5, but damn I really love him as a character and his story. Such a sweet soul.

I'm rewatching this scene to get the full breadth of the emotional payoff. I missed the QTE and my brain just kinda shut down to everything that happened afterwards, even after it let me retry. It was the narrative equivalent of losing a sneeze you felt coming.

Man I was on my phone during this cutscene until I heard the Qte sound and I was like "OH SHIT" and I missed it, this scene between is like one of those scenes you'd see in a sports anime and I just love everything about it

nah his masteries in weapons are the best. He is absolutely powerful when using weapons. Why do u even fight bare-handed when Shinada is designed to use weapons lol, the game even provided sturdy weapons for him.

@@tanbui7569 that and if you know how to use his hand to hand well you can devastate enemies. Only issue is he hasn’t got crowd control heat actions unless you use a katana or pole

Honestly I love his combat! The fact he's not a trained fighter makes his battles feel more brutal and rewarding at the same time
