Fun fact: 2 cards combo post lede but before phantom of yubel ends board with rage, varudras and colossus with yama in the grave to reborn yubel/spirit

I just hope we get the new fusion soon. Maybe they import it in the set where they also release the new ritual beast support. I think it comes out in june. Would be such a bummer if we get it in like 1/2 a year+

Hmm.. Well. Strong combo but also forces you to play 2 heavy bricks. Also, Phantom of Yubel will most likely not come to the TCG in the next years, so I don't think this will be possible anytime soon. Still, very cool video and combo!

There's a good chance Phantom of Yubel releases in Battles of Legend Terminal Revenge. The set description mentions new cards for strategies introduced in Phantom Nightmare and Legacy of Destruction which could refer to Phantom Yubel and the new Summoned Skull for Shining Sarcophagus. The last Valuable Book promos from the OCG (Flame Wingman Infernal Rage and Link Decoder) were in last year's Battles of Legend Monstrous Revenge. So it's not too far off, but yeah this combo is a bit early since we do not know the release date of BoL yet. I agree that it's a huge risk to include those bricks. Since you are playing with effectively one less card in hand if you open Dragonhawk and a complete brick if you open Dragondark without a way to discard it. And even then it's playing with 2 less cards in hand that could have been hand traps or better engine.

Yeah. Combo'ing into Varudras is better to deal with handtraps and Evenly, but the combos in the video are nonetheless interesting. Colossus will be a pain either way.

@@elianrodriguez7318 obv it's not really that many bricks but dragondark and dragon hawk are extremely hard bricks in a deck that already has a decent amount of cards you don't want to draw (Yubel, TI, unchained trap etc etc)

@@ryionizer3622 iirc the all of the 0atk/0def cards aren’t bricks anymore as long as you have at least one Yubel monster, that’s where PoY fusion comes into play since you can summon it as many times as you want so long as you have the materials in your *Hand* , *Field* and/or *GY* . As for the other cards it’s dependent on how lucky or unlucky you’re opening draw is, considering how you don’t have to worry about bricking as much as you used to thanks to PoY it’s usually worth the risk to many people who run these cards.

not saving ash for Nightmare pain is wrong 100% of the time against Yubel. that's become one of their bigger choke points since it lets Throne beam out 2 bodies along with Spirit floating if we didn't trigger Throne before. The colossus line is cute but the Yubel deck already wins if we resolve the standard combo. it's better as a side deck option as a floodgate instead of main end board piece.

I feel that Colossus was un-banned to boost strategies that don't relay only on adding cards from deck to hand . Snake-eyes ,tenpai dragons ,i think also melodious etc . Obviously its an extremely annoying card to deal but the game has evolved to the point that a colossus doesn't guarantee instant win. I think its easily comparable with winda , annoying card yes but not unbeatable. To be clear , i prefer it banned...

phantom of yubel protects the board what are you talking about???? Runicks may fall out of favor if people find a way to make Colossus splashable in their deck. you spend so many cards trying to get rid of Colossus

Unless your opponent had researched the deck, they won't know the optimal time to nib or ash and that will only happen in high end tournaments or in high ladder

so it makes your gameplay dies because of nib, making it only as good as normal rakea pop trap + 3 interruptions without proper effect negation isn't really too much to handle + yo play more brick than pure unchained, which is already worst than yubel. Why even bothering trying to make yubel worst than unchained by trying to abuse a card not even out
