James talking with slayer was the most awkward thing I’ve ever seen
@vilianavasileva82133 жыл бұрын
That’s because James is usually a bit shy and awkward. And as us awkward people know, we always end up embarrassing ourselves when we need to socialise.
@casetheace84943 жыл бұрын
@@vilianavasileva8213 Lol it seemed more like James was just out of place. Like the kid trying to talk with a group of older kids.
@vilianavasileva82133 жыл бұрын
@@casetheace8494 that too. But as used to, as he seems to have become with communicating, James is kinda shy. Lars himself have said on an interview for the VH1 documentary that when he met James at first, the guy could barely say hi and look you in the eye until he gets a few beers in his system.
@vilianavasileva82133 жыл бұрын
@Ryan Kendall yeah. Then again they were clearly not interested in what he has to say. Maybe he should have chosen a different topic. But once again, from the perspective of an awkward person. When you try to socialise, you usually just end up saying shit that no one is interested in. But you are so anxious you just don’t notice. So I don’t really blame the Slayer guys for the awkwardness. It’s all James unfortunately.
@vilianavasileva82133 жыл бұрын
@Ryan Kendall yeah. He should have noticed and changed the topic. But then again I don’t think James gives a fuck if he makes people comfortable in his presence or not. Lol.

Anthrax: the energetic, wacky little brother Slayer: the brooding, angst-ridden middle brother Megadeth: the stern, intellectual older brother Metallica: the uncle that tries to act cool in front of you and your friends
@Real_SkyRipper7 жыл бұрын
Metallica would more likely be the oldest brother since they were the first and everyone looks up to them as the best and most successful, the rest makes sense, Slayer being the angry brother who doesn't even go to parties XD
@IgnorancEnArrogance7 жыл бұрын
They are the most successful, but not the best in terms of ability. You have to realize that Dave Mustaine influenced Metallica and Slayer in the beginning while creating Megadeth afterwards. All the bands share the credit of course; but Dave Mustaine was running circles around them while they were trying to come up with their style. So Dave Mustaine would be the old grandpa that doesn't take anyones shit because he knows none of these bands would be here in their present state if it wasn't for his influence. I don't mean to piss anyone off, I just worship Dave Mustaine :)
@kylewhitehead16847 жыл бұрын
No Slayer's the angry brother but does go to parties and always up fucking someone up. Megadeth is the brother that never goes to parties or comes out of his room.

+KrisJM 1234 Dude I used to roadie for Dave in the early days(Killing.... and Peace Sells....) and know Dave and Jr. both .Dave used to let me play his B.C.Rich Bitch, Sex Pistol sticker on it,whenever it was not in transit or he or his G.T. were playing it. Dave is a super cool dude!!! We used to argue over trem systems (he had a kahler back then,I am a Floyd Rose dude) and fuckin drink like maniacs after every show , and off days all fucking day!!! Dude,NEVER listen to the BULLSHIT people say about him.Ask any single dude in the big 4 about Dave`s influence and songwriting. All know and respect him. I do remember him being fuckin pissed at Lars over a song called "the Hills Run Red" that was Dave`s. Lars and Metallica stole the riff and it became "Leper Messiah" He also used to call "Ride the Lightning" "Ride the Lightbulb" LOL!!!!!! Brilliant,articulate,fun,and down to earth man,with a bad drinking and drug problem. So did I. God ,where did the time go!?!?!? It seems like another lifetime now. Kerry: “Wait, I’m not done with this guy yet!” Guy: “It’s not finished, but...” This is honestly such a well-shot “behind the scenes” documentary, the camera work and point of view style is very impressive. All of these short individual clips are basically being shot at the same time in a different band’s point of view. Sometimes they intersect, as seen in the previously mentioned time stamps.

Its sobering to see that legends who had such a huge hand in shaping an entire genre and its culture sit in awkward silence around each other. Music can be fun, but its also business

Dude I wouldn't even have to be a rockstar to be happy lol. Just being the guitar tech for one of these guys would be more than fulfilling.

Much respect to all of them (okay, maybe a few members of Metallica) but they all seem down to earth and didn't forget where they came from. Bulgarians are serious about their metal. Cool how Dave and Megadeth said a prayer before going onstage. That part with James sitting beside Jeff was totally awkward. It was like Jeff was tolerating him and being nice until he left.

I think it's cool that Suicidal's old bass player is with Metallica now. I loved Suicidal when I was younger. I got to see them a few years ago with Megadeth and Metal Church. 3 to-do's finally got scratched off my list all in one evening. Only took 30 years to do them. Great fucking night though.
