The fact that she does this to Sheldon and he doesn't get a Nobel Prize from the work they did together makes me laugh because Amy treats him the complete opposite that she is, which leads to Sheldon's Nobel Prize later on in the show. It just comes to show you that you need the support of others in order to succeed, even if they aren't involved in the process.

Sharing credit would have worked if she let him go for Halo night

So she wins him over by flattering him, then isolates him from his friends and destroys his work-life balance whilst driving him far too hard, and when he comes up with an idea that is, admittedly, ALL his, she then wants to take half the credit? Yep, wring a theory from him destroying his life in the process, and then stamp your name on the back of all the real proponent's hard work. That's textbook parasitism. Sheldon's reaction as the bubble finally burst was very wise, and the firm hand needed, even if he didn't realise how wise he was being. She took advantage of him. He was taken in. It'll be a lesson to him, and makes a good point about a real life danger too, for people in all fields. Such people very much do exist.

The thing is she has a point. When you remember all the things the top people in any walk of life have given up to get where they are. Sports stars and top musicians, the hours they put into practice (especially when they're young); leaders in business, the hours they devoted to building their companies... if you want to be a success you have to be willing to sacrifice *a lot*. But then, when you achieve that success, you'll be able to do all those things that others can't because "Wednesday night is Halo night."

As a former PhD student in a STEM field, the funniest and really unrealistic part was the way she bossed around Sheldon, a fulltime researcher in the department. No PhD student would be dumb enough to do that, bossing around a researcher/professor in the department would invite the wrath of your PhD advisor and the department chair.

Technically, Sheldon just said "whole lives". He didn't say "every hour of every day for our whole life".

This was a Season 2 episode, before Amy and Bernadette were on the show. Hysterical!!! Sheldon gives a lousy Physics presentation at beginning of show, but this girl is so impressed by him, she arranges the hookup. It becomes almost like a marriage w/o the ceremony. Until she wants to share credit with Sheldon, that is !!!! LOL! I have this episode on DVD and it's one of those episodes that I never tire of...
