Sheldon shouting 'WHEEAAATTOONN!!' is a reference to James Kirk shouting 'KHAAAAAAANNN!!' during Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan

I never understood why they zoomed out while Sheldon repeated Wheaton's name. Then I saw Wrath of Khan and it all made sense.

I met Wil Wheaton at SD comic-con once in the middle of the exhibitor hall and asked for a picture he said no because he didn't want people to see and have everyone to stop him to get a picture. I was fine with it but afterwards I thought it would be funny if I said you're now my nemesis

goes by quick because of reference. most people remember their lives in reference to goals and important events, and actually forget allot of the things between. as we grow older goals and important events spread apart to larger periods of time, making our reference of time different than it was as a kid. and as such it makes us perceive time as "moving" faster. but knowing how or why something works doesn't make it any less of an annoyance.
