The interaction between Sheldon and Penny is priceless. The scenes are well written, well acted, with chemistry between them being superb.

the best part of this sitcom is the relationship between Sheldon and Penny. it's funny, beautiful, magnetic. even Amy accepted the fact at one episode when she told about some sort of connection between them.

Give Sheldon credit, he tries. He may be completely tactless and clueless about how to interact with others, especially when they’re in distress, but he tries. There are people out there who don’t even do that.

To this day.. that has to be my favorite... "Is that my arm?" "It doesn't feel like an arm." "Then maybe you should let it go." I felt light-headed from laughing so hard at that one.

The way he stopped what he was doing and how fast he ran to help her without hesitation, when she shouted for him after falling, just makes me smile 💙

Yo, you see how Sheldon immediately jumps when Penny cries for help. Come on now, the series mostly writes him as a high functioning robot with inept social etiquette but when he cares, he goddamn cares

I love it when Penny gets Sheldon to sing soft kitty to her after returning from the hospital. That's my favourite ever episode of the big bang theory. Her smile at the end is priceless and when she sings, her voice is so sweet. I love Kaley Cuoco. I've always loved her ever since I first saw the big bang theory and Penny's always been my favourite character.

Sheldon: Why are you crying? Penny: Because I'm stupid. Sheldon: That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. I cry because others are stupid, and it makes me sad.

I think epitome of their relationship is when they solved string theory. He was frustrated with math, she was frustrated with amy and Leonard. She went straight to Sheldon. Sheldon, who hates to be bothered, accepted her with open arms instantly. They immediately went Shenny. Penny knew what he needed. After she said, "See how long that take me." Sheldon pointed at her with the marker and nodded. The look on his face was of tremendous respect. At that moment they were 100% equal. The hug after the Leonard Nimoy napkin started it all.

Thanks for this tribute to the unsung chemistry between Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons. So many great scenes between them! One critique: instead of the flu sequence where they aren't interacting with one another I'd put in the classic Leonard Nimoy DNA napkin scene. 2nd choice: The one in which Penny recites Sheldon's seat requirements and Sheldon says, "There's hope for you yet." 3rd: Penny offers to put back a dumpling she's chewing OR Sheldon says, "Well played" after Penny calls his mother.

I love when penny and Sheldon do the round of soft kitty, especially how long it takes and the look on sheldons face. That is priceless!

Amy and Sheldon aren't as similar as they might appear. Yes, initially when Amy was introduced to the show, she was just as obnoxious as Sheldon was, but now she's so much more relaxed and worldly. Having Penny and Bernie as friends and being part of a social group with the others has really opened up her mind. She's still blunt sometimes, but she really complements him in every way and she's making him so much more open-minded and accepting and his character has grown a lot since he met her.
