This is a great movie about a nuclear bus travelling from New York to Denver. But who could forget Mount Diablo!

I really enjoyed this Movie , I myself drove an Artic , a Yellow 60 footer I named " The Banana Boat 95' " ( Prevost H5-60 ) , but not an 80 footer like this one and to this day I can still enjoy this Movie and laugh , kinda explains why I have 3 ( yes three )copies on DVD - All Originals - one to watch , one as a backup , Still sealed & the third to treasure , also still sealed !

Great movie, inspiration for the whole "Airplane " series...Stockard Channing swimming in ginger ale,Shoulders O'brian, Murphy Dunne as the annoying loung pianist...pure genius!

"We boiled the floormats like they taught us" this is such a great film, if you haven't ever seen the Big Bus you really ought to make the effort.

I didn't see this until after I saw Airplane!, and then I thought 'man, this film came out FIRST.' You gotta love it. :) STAY AWESOME! :)

I finally got to see "The Big Bus"! I didn't even know the movie existed unitl earlier this year. It's hard to believe that this movie bombed at the box office and yet "Airplane!" did so well. I'm surprised Comedy Central or AMC haven't aired this great movie!

One of my favorite comedies of all time! I managed to find the DVD a few years ago. I loved Lynn Redgrave in this movie, whom we just lost yesterday. The entire cast was amazing...........including the wild & crazy Ruth Gordon!

I remember seeing this movie at the Theatre when I was 11. This was supposed to be a satire of all the Disaster Movies which were all the rage during the 1970's ("Airport", "Airport-75", "Earthquake", "The Posiedon Adventure", "The Towering Inferno"..) Now the movie characters could experience life-threatening danger on a "Big Bus." I remember enjoying it as a kid, but I remember very little about it. I haven't seen it in YEARS. I assume everyone was rescued at the end...

Although Airplane was better written and really nailed the feel of 70's disaster cinema,this movie has its moments as well.

I always liked this better than AIRPLANE. Saw it on the CBS Saturday night movie @ 9 pacific!!! I was maybe 10 @ the time 70's era

That was filmed at the old Trailways terminal near Sixth & Main in Los Angeles before they moved it to Union Station a few miles north

Give credit. This movie was dark eddy satire for it's time and inspired the makers of Airplane! I remember this movie and I was only 5 when it came out.

yep, it was a flop when it came out, but it's still campy disaster spoofing fun! Who knows why airplane caught on, and this didn't. "ya' eat one lousy foot, and they call you a cannibal". great line.
