Also-- I'm new here, just came (and subbed) today, and this is just my second vid., so I don't know if you've already heard/read all about him and his life. But the summary is that he got lyme disease after being bitten by a tick, and it was for years misdiagnosed, as a result of which he was given medications that caused him to have all kinds of mental as well as physical issues-- a long nightmare including its having induced psychosis. So he had a lot of time to work on his music, which probably helped keep him going through things that could easily break anyone.Terrible what he went through (and is still going through, though he finally got a correct diagnosis and has been receiving treatment that actually helps), but he was able to use the time and the suffering to create...well, to create what we're seeing and hearing now.

A.P. hey man I don't think it's that they broke up rather than they took a break to work on solo music. I'm pretty sure they will Rendezvous back together for at least a few more buskings after they put out their solo albums and whatnot

I think the same thing every time I see him, and feel guilty having such low thoughts about high art...or at least, the artist. He's so smart, so creative, so intense,so creative, so interesting, so expressive (and his voice is so sexy at times, as when, in the "I Shot the Sheriff" medley, he sings the "hip...hop" sequence...and so much else. Plus, he's so steeped in so much great music, including, even jazz and scatting. And, to the extent one can tell without even knowing someone, he seems like a good and caring, social justice committed, and gentle person, despite the ferocity of his music.
