I think the ceiling is too low to have more chains on the lights. Maybe if you remove the oversized lamps it may look better. Try smaller lamps to see if you like it. Decorating is trying different things until you get the look you want.

No, don't paint it black it will make the room look small. If anything, paint 🎨 it a silver gray to give it a large look.

I think the light fixture is too long length wise. You can get a shorter but wider one to get that grand feel you're looking for. It still looks good to me though. Love the console table and decor in there!

I love my patio lights but please stock up on the bulbs. Seems one or two go out every month due to rain, wind. Some will go out but sometimes they get loose & need to be tightened or they just burn out. I get my bulbs from amazon. Enjoy
