Imagine creating a Wonka event and not bothering to even ship in some gross Palmer's chocolates (shittiest chocolate in the US) for it. They can't cost more than half a penny each, wholesale. A big chocolate display wouldn't have saved this event, but nothing could, and it would have been nice to help soothe the disappointed attendees.

The thing about the jelly beans cracks me up the most. Dont give each kid a regular hershey bar, dont even pass out the little halloween fun size bars. That would be too good and imply effort.
