Have you happened to dyno the Deaf Bonce Apocalypse AAK-6000.1 by chance? I've ordered me one and I know they're built great and supposed to be great on output but I'm guessing with them being Russian that a lot of videos may have been removed or blocked. I'm just really surprised how very little videos there are out there with the better Deaf Bonce AAK line vs the full bridges

I bought one of these a year ago. Some guy on ebay had a bunch of these sold as new old stock. He offered them to me at $90 a piece if I bought 3 or 4. Wish I had bought more than one. These are great for a retro system. Plays clean. Thanks for testing. I've been wondering what it could do.

Weird but neat. When you had those odd dynamic readings, figured it had a regulated power supply that might not react well to fast bursts. Tho it still did what it claimed. And held up well at low voltages. Interesting. Still, that whole amp could easily fit in half that heatsink! Must have had a killer deal on heatsinks that year...
@wal

yeah man you said it! I think this is interesting for sure, just weird how long, skinny and lightweight it is. I'm wondering if Dr. Cranky sold off some extra stock and Arizona was the chosen name. Hopefully someone comments when the video goes live and knows more about Arizona Power company amplifiers and other electronics.

It was what they already used for their other models. Heatsink tooling is $$$. Considering the low efficiency, it had to be a certain size to dissipate 100-150W of heat…and that’s how.

So back in the day I bought a 1989 Chevy Beretta GT from my cousin's family after he passed away in a drunk driving accident (not him driving and not the Beretta), but it had two Image Dynamic 15s in the trunk with two ID 150 watt amps (that were 1/4 ohm stable), two 5 farad caps, and two gel cell batteries (along with MB Quart split sets in the dash and a Sony tape deck that was unpowered because it had a Sony 4 channel amps for miss and highs). That car sounded like no other. I pulled up in front of my high school one day and shattered my rear windshield with it...and I got suspended for 10 days because of it. People used to tell me that they could hear me coming a mile away and it sounded like thunder. I was 16...lol Almost every car that I've owned since then has had a system in it. I'll be 40 next year and my car now has a set of Sundown Audio SA12-D2s in it with an Orion HCCA SPLX 3K watt amp with a 7" touchscreen in the dash, all Kickers mids and highs with tweeters, and a Skar 5 channel 900w amp to run them.

Heard of it! It's not a bad design honestly. They had good decoupling, audio grade caps in the signal path, and STAR grounding! Yeah, they could have knocked a few inches off the length but most people here don't think like engineers. Using one extrusion and just slicing off what you need for each model saved them some money. Sure, it makes the bigger amps needlessly long (because it's narrow), but it makes the smaller amps more compact. Wasted it on the subs though. I see a sound quality design. Use the full range speakers instead.

I also have a super rare and super big amp, mine looks a bit like this but is much wider but "only" 65 cm tall. Mine is the old legendary MDS A2000 amp, it is a 2-channel class AB with 2x1000 watt power. I used this to power a front system with 8 woofers and two 700 watt horns and 40mm silk dome tweeters and it was still so much power you would smell the coils if you crank it up. it was the loudest front system I ever built and I have never heard anyone play louder either. people could hear this system several kilometers away. I have the amp but not the car anymore, I miss this build

@text-6516 if you can answer what is the truth behind your behavior, what is the meaning behind the question, why lies are told, why people try to scam others, how many times you have asked the same question to others. In which hand you find the hidden message, in which part of the planet you can find the one lined clue. What is the winning number on the lottery. Why I never get nothing to do. Why you never got the real answer. What you really wanna get out of anything. And why so many people try to leach on others. Then I might consider it, maybe

Ron May the owner was always into gimmicks , he often used Elvira at his shows and is was a local guy, Interestingly he tried to bring the brand back and it failed. His subwoofers were really good if you had the high voltage, He had them made by Eminence speaker company here in KY. He left car audio and started selling supplements and was making a skin cream conditioner and ended up inventing something that was highly effective against skin cancer and lives the big life now.

I love your videos, but I'm not a big car stereo guy. I love audio stuff and am knowledgeable about it. One thing I do not know anything about is the subject of how to supply power in a car for a big amp. I've thought about putting a moderate stereo in my much loved KIA Soul, but I'm not sure what my stock alternator can take, reasonably. I have found it difficult to find information like this, "if you have a 200 watt alternator, then it probably is OK for you to run an amp with X amount of overall amperage draw." Nothing set in stone. Also, how people drive huge and sometimes multiple huge amps would be really interesting. I'll check if you have a vid like this too.

I usually just watch from beginning to end, but at 30 inches, I HAD to skip straight to the guts to see how much wasted real estate there was. I was pleasantly surprised. While everything is widely spaced, it's not as if half the board was empty. The only real waste I see is that the power Xsistors are not spaced apart, so most of the heat sink is wasted. Skipped back to the start for monetization / entertainment purposes. Not even a copy or a clone. It looks straight up rebranded. These guys would be hung from a tree if amps were cattle. I'm willing to bet a cup of coffee that the original Dr. Crankenstein's output is very nearly the same (which means Dr. C overrated their amp). Great Stuff!!! Keep 'em coming. Love your show. Edit: well, I guess those Xsistors are a bit spaced apart, but not along the whole length.

I laughed when I saw such small power terminals for an amplifier so long. 🤣 At least it did rated and then some. Lot’s of wasted empty space inside though. With components so separated, it would be like those thousand dollar home amplifiers that have the components separated to avoid cross talk and noise.

I think I got it figured out bigD. I used to talk to a long time SS employee that started in the beginning and through the second Rubicon series. He told me a story about how they were asked to design amps for Dr. Crankestien and when they went to sell them to them they never paid. I believe the P series from soundstream was those that they designed. If you look at some images of the P series from SS they are EXACTLY the same as this amp. End caps heat sink shape and even the knobs for the crossovers. Let me know what ya think.

It’s a very odd but honest amp. If you bought this back in the day, you were looking to make a visual impression. That layout makes no sense except for a system meant for displaying. There were many more space efficient amps with those ratings. Keep bringing us these weird ones Big D.

Looks like the 90s lanzar HC amps, but they were black and alot smaller. I think I had a 50.2 maybe it was 100.2lanzar HC on 2 kicker circle solo 12s.. last a good few years in high school!

I like seeing stuff I've never seen before. Speaking of that, are you still planning to do a review of the two 18" Skar subs used for home theater? I would love to see that

The high price was due to the extra aluminum for the show

Looks like all the electronics would all fit in a basic 2 channel white pyramid heatsink chassis if compacted down. This is what you show your friends in 1996 telling em yeon want nun.
