Playing 1/3 flopped broadway with KJ hearts on an AQ10 rainbow board with the loosest player at the table in the hand with me...he check calls the flop bet, turn is another Q, check calls my turn bet, river is another 10 and now he insta jams the river on A Q 10 Q 10 - no flush runouts...i felt sick to my stomach flopping the nuts against a guy i knew would pay me off. Id seen him make a few bluffs earlier but also seen him take this line whenever he had it - he would make this move with any 10 and i knew that....i reluctantly called his shove and he said "i got the straight" --- but flipped over J9 lol, the dealer said "shows jack high" - i flipped over the KJ breathed a huge sigh of relief and scooped a big one. He really thought he had the straight, when the dealer said he had jack high he said "well shit" and laughed

Good one Brad. On the last hand with TT I think it's a clear fold, especially given Villains's previous play. He has so many 9s, or even 44, and there's no point in calling here if you're not ready to put your whole stack at risk.

So much respect for your TT hand. Not only you realized that folding was pretty bad but also you folded because you didn't feel comfortable with how big you were playing and if it wasn't enough you actually stood up and left the table and posted this vlog on youtube. You are very courageous and humble. I admire that because I think in your situation I would probably have too much pride to leave the table. Very humbling indeed. Subscribed.

Glad I found this video, just a young kid 22 y/o from Hawaii but I love poker, my grandpa who passed away taught the whole family poker!! But I’m a millennial so I learn from KZfaq and know a few more moves then them haha!! but whether it’s drunk nights with the boys or a more serious cash game making endless amount of calculated decisions with your own money on the line the tension!! the anxiety!! of making a big all in play and winning big!!! Most I’ve ever won one night was in a 5/10 house cash game with family, friends of family and poker buddy’s , bought in $250 and won about $4,000 left about $300 to the house for the food and drinks and in Hawaii you always gotta take care da house haha ! Just like how he won 1003 and tipped the 3$ ! It’s the thought that counts lol but I can really appreciate the high level quality content of this video Brad Owen this is the perfect poker vlog!! Love how you post the stack sizes, bet sizes, the flop, turn etc and how you threw in the all in hand even tho you weren’t in it! I’m glad I found this channel keep up the good job man and I look forward to seeing you win and be successful and hopefully you can keep making this high quality videos!!! I hated this blog when I first started playing poker, but now I love this blog. My biggest fear is facing Brad in a game. In my limited experience with poker, the biggest challenge is determining at which level people are playing poker. In purely recreational games people just think about what they have. In better games, people start to think about what their opponents have, at Brads level hand histories become a component and the exploitation potential become uncomfortable. Thank you Brad for your honesty and the light you shine on the game.

yeah, just because a player has demonstrated *tendency* to donk large with monsters there's a lot of other considerations. does the player balance this? does the dryness of the board effect his decision making? it's a big lead out of turn but I kinda feel like even with that player showing that they *can* have a monster it doesn't mean that they *can't* have a bluff or a lesser vulnerable hand like 88, 77, 66, A4, etc. I'm curious if Brad feels he made the correct decision in retrospect.

@@dochmbi Get married to the aces. Like even if the other dude is kamikaze betting some one pair hand like QT, you have 3 other people to worry about. This isn't Limit Hold 'Em or a tournament where everyone considers deep stack play to be 35 bb (in which you can just be optimistic and hope for the best), it's just a lot of money to risk in a low upside situation. I rarely advocate folding aces to a donk bet but I do agree that this time is a good time to do it. Of course it's a good note to have on a guy that he goes too far with marginal made hands or marginal draws in bad situations.

I played these hands over and over wandering oh I could of played the hand differently. Was stacked with first buy-in. I flopped top full house opponents flopped quads. Rather than talking a break. I rebuy. Early into the rebuy a similar hand nearly felted me again. Headed straight to blackjack dusted off few more stacks. Checked out next day even tho I still had 3 days paid for with my room. Enjoyed watching, I watch all Andrew's videos and it took me a while to kinda warm up to your videos but really have enjoyed watching. I am just a recreational player just a one/two player but really enjoy the game. Wonder if you ever plan to go to any of the Oklahoma tournaments? For instance the Run Good series in Joplin, Downstream Casino or maybe Durant OK. Tuesday I am heading to Biloxi Mississippi with the wife and maybe play a little poker at the Beau Rivage. Thanks for the great video.

Enjoyed the comment. Took me awhile to kinda like it because you started out not great but then really enjoyed reading. We definitely need to make it out to Oklahoma. I'm not sure how receptive Choctaw or Winstar would be to the idea of filming. They don't really need the marketing so it's easier to go to smaller places. Biloxi would be great. I'll probably reach out to them soon. Good luck to you man. I hope you are crushing at Beau.

Great video as I enjoy my morning coffee. The last hand was real close decision. I think you made the right play. You laid it out perfect:1) He had just bet into a raiser when he flopped big 2) Lot of bad turns and rivs.3) You are playing above your means. He would have bet 2K on turn and allin on river. Would be crushing to lose everything at the end. Good luck.

No offense, but the offer was for Brad. I don’t believe he is rolled properly to play in the 10-25 games by the way he was playing. If he was Interested in climbing stakes, I was going to see if we could work out an arrangement that was suitable for us both. I certainly don’t plan on breaking anyone’s legs, lol. I stake 2 or 3 other players. I like his game, and I think if he could play these stakes without fear of losing his bankroll, it could be rather profitable.

Thanks for making the videos. I live in NC where there is only one casino, bout 4 hours away, and no online poker. I had played for years online, before poker black friday, and although I'm just a rec player have won or cashed in most of the tournaments I enter. I must say though watching your videos and seeing the why of some or your play has made it so much easier to predict my opponents and be successful when I hit the casino to play. Super job my friend, keep up the good work!!! Hoping to make it out to Vegas again this year!!!
