I agree that others are sleeping on the Avalanche depth. Before the Winnipeg series, all I kept hearing/seeing online was that the Jets have the advantage because Colorado is a top heavy team. Really? Just because they have a superstar top line doesn't mean their other lines aren't good.

We're top heavy, not one line. We have one of the best top units in the league (Val, Nate, Mikko, Cale, and Devon all included) so I see why people say we're top heavy. But we have so much depth, which makes us obviously not a "one line team"

On the Stars’ first goal. We generally don’t call out the opposing goalie when Cale scores on a similar screened shot from distance. (Of course, Makar does it regularly, too.)

The year we won the Cup they had the same resiliency and its awesome to see them not panic and just stick to playing their game. Instead of simply relying on their talent to win them games now they know they have to out work the other team also and they can beat ANY team in this league if they stick to that style of play. Hard working insanely talented and resilient holy shit is that a lethal combination!! Go Avs go! Destroy everyone you face on your way to another Cup victory!!!

I wasn't too stoked after the 1st. But I felt if they could get one early in the 2nd and make Dallas skate, they had a chance. What a game!

DAL FO game is scary good. Much of DAL's domination in OT was predicated on consecutive o-zone FO wins (i.e., not to mention their second goal by W. Johnston was from a FO win). But, the overall stats widely leaned to COL. This was a must win for COL. Kudos to DAL for going for the throat in OT, however, I do wonder how their legs do next game with one day rest?

Gotta be honest, how do we know Cale didn't juke that dude on a "whiff" BECAUSE he didn't have a stick? Cale's lethal and really smart, I wouldn't put it past him for that to be semi intentional

I don't think I've celebrated an overtime goal harder in my life. Only one that comes close is Mackinnon's breakaway earlier this season that was also against Dallass. I think it's obvious what my least favorite team in the league is

@@devildog5354 don't get me wrong, Vegas sucks. But there's something about the Avs/Dallas rivalry that makes me hate them so much. My dad has been a fan since it was announced the team was moving to Colorado, so he also hates Dallas. My first two hockey games that I went to were in Dallas (Avs win both lol) and it's so fun watching them lose
