The game needs a "material storage", something like what ESO or Guild Wars 2 has. Would make this game so much better with the auto organization. Basically what the shards has right now.

I don't ever see myself maining ff14. It drives me INSANE with lots of dumb stuff like this that ends up wasting hours of time in the long run not fun time either. I'm a GW2 player now mostly as ESO is stll going through some teething problems with all of its expansion and dlc classes being junk compared to base game. I used to main ESO but when it comes to top end vet HM vet trials and vet solo areans like maelstrom basically being impossible to do without playing one of the meta 3 classes feels like I wastred hundreds of hours playing the wrong way leveling up a warden first then Necromancer as both are totally incapable of doing ANY type of serious end game content. ESO burned me out I'm just playing ff14 for the story to see if its as good as people say. The only mmo I really actively play between games is GW2 it's so far the only MMO left that respects the players time and it doesn't feel like I'm playing the "wrong" way like ESO or super slow boring and tedious like in FF14.

This has been helpful. I also use the Doman restoration to turn in items for free gil. Those crafting materia are so useful for pentamelding. Also regarding the grand company donations, ensure you check the "ignore job sets" or something like that so that you don't accidentally donate something from a set. Cheers!

Inventory management. The true endgame of almost every MMO. That said, perfect tips! Utilizing multiple retainers helped me with my digital hoarding tendencies (i have 9 as well). I used to keep everything. And I do mean everything! Before EW tho I had to really get clear on what to keep and not keep. Your previous guides were super helpful and I found myself going yup yup yup throughout the video. I would add that dropping gear directly into inventory instead of armory works for some but I found myself hating it. Since all my jobs are geared poetic and I keep glamours separately, I just drop em in armory chest and then donate to GC or desynth from there

Items you get from Alex raid turn them in for gear pieces and if your doing relic weapons precision items can trade for unidentifiable items for anima relic

Yeah I have a retainer specifically for raid parts like the Alex and Omega lol cause I do the normal raids daily and no one gets the parts so I always get them hahah it seems like a waste not to since you get the gear free without having to roll and compete plus seals also sell relic materials so theres that too instead of using up the valuable poetics for poetics only mats

That pretty well covers all the bases. Thanks for the shout out as well! While I do get annoyed a bit by the raid drop items, they can be turned in for gear (normal modes are undyeable while Savage raids give the items needed for the dyed versions). So, either another source of glamor or grand company seals. There is a setting I have checked which causes gear pieces to drop directly into my main inventory, I find this very helpful for reducing clutter. Unless it's something I actively need or want it makes it so much easier to sift through. At this point, I don't need any tank, healing, Mage or ranged DPS gear under level 85.

As a veteran MMO player, but new to FF14 there’s just so much stuff to take in. I forgot about my retainers had storage for like 2 days and was freaking out as my bag kept filling and filling 😂

I'm still not at endgame but I like to gather to chill out so between that and my tendency to hold gear for "if I level that job", I'm a bit of a hoarder. This video was helpful food for thought. Thank you :D

Yee sounds like a hoarder xD I suggest to change your mindset a bit, "if I level that job... I can always go back and get/craft that gear" Just saying the stuff will always be there but it's up to you. Although if it's the savage endgame stuff that is harder to get, hanging on to it is understandable.

Battle materia is far more valuable especially the early ones if you decide to do the ARR relics. I found the crafting and gathering worthless since you only need is the the highest most recent updated ones and sell the rest. This applies to the battle materia also but you should keep the earlier ones too if you decide to one day do the ARR relics, for that reason all of battle materias are valuable unlike the DoL DoH

Mmmm I disagree. I never once have seen low level battle materia used at endgame. Low level Dol doh is used round out penta melding when you have hit min stats needed for crafting and gathering since there was a stat squish and they did but increase crafting difficulty.

I always liquidate everything I can by selling it on the marketboard. I can always buy it back, usually at a lower price as time goes on.

Same thats how in real life is too to be honest. There are some people who keep things just because they still work even though they're worn down or mismatched but have to much of or say theyll use it but dont. I'm all for thrift stores and giving appliances a new home etc but like if your home/office spot area is full cluttered, give it up give it away or trash it, you can always buy new better modern stuff. New fashion new designs will always be sold, dont hang on to things.

I've been playing mmos for upwards of 15 years now, and not a single one has made me feel as stupid as this. No matter what I do, my bags are filled with random trash, and my armory is 35/35 in every slot
