Tomba is an underrated gem. Definitely deserves an HD remake one day.

Pretty wild that Over Horizon is finally getting a North American release (PAL regions got it); it has this cool edit mode where you can alter your weapons. Speaking of weapon loadouts, Sigma Star Saga's another deep cut; it's a bit like Guardian Legend, but in reverse, and a TON of weapon customization. As for new to me, I'll definitely be checking out Barraka; I love the artstyle, and that's what got me much further into Don't Open the Doors than I otherwise would've gotten.

I've been curious about Sigma Star Saga for a while now because the way it is described in combining elements of shoot 'em ups and top-down action adventure games reminded me of The Guardian Legend, one of my favorite games on the NES. I'm going to also have to keep an eye on Deathbound because the idea of a party-based soulslike game fascinates me, Paper Ghost Stories also looks like it could be interesting and I'm curious as to what it will be like to experience horror stories in that paper theater style of presentation.

Party base souls-like but actually it's a single player? 😂 Like ok....
