6inch lifted 3rd gen owner here 🤚 you’re going to want a single piece drive shaft, the carrier bearing doesn’t like the angle from a lift like that

I absolutely LOVE this trucks color. My 06 mega cab is oem paint light khaki metallic and there isn’t many mega cabs that are tan leather fully loaded tan khaki metallic trucks out there, even just SLT trucks with that paint code. Love seeing these rare paint code trucks!

I wish I could do a photo shoot of my 06 mega cab 3500 SRW 5.9 with your trucks man it would be so sick! I just got done building it the week before Christmas, brand new 8” lift on brand new 26x14’s and 37’s, new 5” stainless steel turbo back exhaust, intake, the whole 9 man. Picked up this truck for Pennie’s back in march of ‘23 and it needed rescued to say the least LOL but it’s fully loaded sunroof heated tan leather interior tan dash all original, engine was gone through and rebuilt by previous owner so that saved me a ton of time and money, getting the trans built next week super stoked!!!!!! If only KZfaq would allow us to post pics in our comments lol I know you’d love it! It’s light khaki metallic for the oem paint code, beautiful truck turned out great!

My 5th Gen dually running sane set up but have KING shocks and it’s Cadillac literally but in Laramie form 😊 Just did 2nd Gen swap and am literally weeks away from my vacation which be spent installing the ever reliable “, savage shifting, tire burning ATS ALLISON SWAP

I bought the valve body rebuild kit from NextGen Diesel and installed that. Billet accumulators, channel plate etc. shifts much better. Next is shocks for me as well

@Gilmore304 I can't tell you from personal experience, but from what I've been told and read up on multiple forums ATS transmissions are a big red flag. Pretty much a stock transmission that's been painted purple. Not only that but they like to fuck people around on the warranty. Maybe they have gotten better but just warning you.

I’ve heard the same as well, I went w Suncoast when I had my 05 Duramax and loved that transmission. For the 68rfe I have done the upgraded valvebody, thermal bypass and deeper trans pan.

not bashing you but lift kits on trucks pretty much makes them a show and tale truck and that is ok for some but for me i want the truck in its work cloths aka 5th wheel and or reece hitch maybe a good tool box set up or something like that want this to be a idea for you maybe even have the 2 ideas set up where as soon as the winner is picked you could go with the direction they want JUST WANT THIS TO BE AN IDEA NOT TO BASH YOU IN ANY WAY
