Not sure about UK, but here... Theft by Find is a crime. Best not to keep valuables, especially those with obvious ownership. Not intended to diminish the act, but Not doing the illegal thing, shouldn't be the bar for goodness.

He’s so happy to have it back he gave it to some charity that makes 100s of thousands if not millions of dollars a year instead of giving it back to the kid who actually found it. Those charity recipients will get 6 cents on the dollar for his two grand.

Magnetic G has one of the better magnet fishing channels. Most of the stuff they pull in is junk but it removes it from the waterways. Great hobby for a father and son to be doing.

Wait.... 22 years later, a teenager finds and RETURNS a whole lot of money back to a business guy who never was expecting to see that money again, and what does the bizman do with that honest gesture, but give it to CHARITY? WTBH man!? He should've given it to the kid who could've just as easily kept it and bought something nice for himself!! But he didn't.
