It has to be! RIGHT!!! It's a once-in-a-lifetime shot I would think. But I wouldn't put it past him to do it again now. I just have a hunch he's going to be trying it anytime he gets the opportunity now. Lol!!!

That Whitetail that you barely missed lungs going between the lung and shoulder is one of the reasons I use Expansion ammo. When I do that same thing, the expansion ammo usually expands enough to just barely graze the lung in that situation. I don't mind tracking so I don't need it to penetrate all the way through, I just need it to expand enough to hit vitals, and it usually does.

Glad to see you giving the 45-70 some love 😁. Love my Henry. It’s my RL deer and black bear gun. A little OP for deer, but just right for bear. 0-150 yards, it thumps. Max 200 yards. Running a Vortex 3x9, nothing fancy but gets the job done. As far as RL compared to game. The game sells the pen way short of what it really is in RL. Anyhow great video as always and Rock on “Eagle Eye“ 🤘😎

Great video as always. I'm still in awe of your shot on the cappercaille. I have trouble shooting stationary animals without sights let alone little bitty flying birds😂! That shot you showed where you slipped between the shoulder blade and the lung. I can relate to that because the 1st week I had the 22/250 I destroyed a diamond Roe deer with that exact shot. But he ran down over the edge of a hill and I never got the chance for a followup before he died. Beautiful moose too bye the way. Loved the spirit bear too. That is my favorite fur. Sad to hear it's not a rare. I guess a true brown would be because I've taken several hundred brown bears in the game and never seen any plain brown furs. I don't know why.

Hey DD in case you didn't know the 45-70 ammo seems to be wrong or something the hollow points are alot better than the flat. The flat has more penetration barley, but the hollow has a waaayyyy faster quick kill. Give it a try sometime. i did the testing at 150yds broadside on gemsbok to confirm.

VIDEO IDEA :- Please make a video on the average money that can be obtained per species if we pass the harvest checks, and how difficult it is to hunt that particular species. Like a Roe deer on average is never gonna pay like Red deer, and Coyotes are more difficult to spot and hunt as compared to Whitetails... About me - I'm a new player playing for a few days, I'm learning a lot of things online and getting a lot of useful tips and resources to learn about the game but I'm unable to find this anywhere. Though there are many videos on the best species to hunt, I would like to know about the different species and make the decision for myself in any particular situation...
