The only way to get the inferno ability is to get 4 caustics in a row (0.004% chance, that's rarer than getting a rascal bee egg from a ladybug) Don't waste you caustic waxes.

Swirled wax acts as a turpentine, it takes buffs they you have on it and makes them worse or remove it to try to restart. Just use caustic if you want to risk, but mainly use hard wax.
