Reminder: Make sure your tailpipe is clear of snow whenever you turn your engine on

@@johannapoder2843 Snow in a tailpipe can be dangerous and deadly. Snow can clog the tailpipe, preventing exhaust fumes from escaping. This can cause carbon monoxide poisoning, which is a deadly, odorless, and colorless gas. Carbon monoxide can build up quickly, reaching a dangerous level within one minute and 24 seconds.
@johannapoder28434 ай бұрын
@@xlnuniex so if my exhaust is blocked, you say my fumes start to come inside the car some how?. Let me tell you, if your backpipe is really bloked your car just wont start, or if its not properly clogged the engine will spit that shit out like its nothing. Idk what kind of a car you have been driving. Real cars dont have problem with that. Its only possible if your manifold is leaking.. pipe is bloked and interior fan on max.
@poloska94714 ай бұрын
@@johannapoder2843that is true, though for safety-sake I do recommend generally making sure you’re not going to take a nap while your exhaust is plugged into a big pile of snow. There have been many people who perished this way unsuspectingly because they ran their cars to heat interior while napping and backed up into a pile of snow - the problem with carbon monoxide is that once it is ingested, it has a 24hr half-life so half of it will leave the body after 24 hours… so if one goes to sleep for example and even a crack in the manifold or exhaust allows it to build up slowly within the interior, one can ingest enough to remain too sleepy to wake up and notice the problem which adds even more ingestion which compounds the issue into a runaway feedback loop until the person simply goes to sleep forever. Overall, not the best idea to have anything in or around one’s exhaust, but you are right… in almost all cases, starting the car will spit that blockage out like a bullet lol… after all, that’s a LOT of pressure from the engine… heat too… I’d say it’s even more Important to clear the snow around the vehicle so as to not let the gasses go out and under to make it in the interior via the floor or the engine sucking exhaust back inside due to having a gap under vehicle but no gap on the sides… Also, you are a pretty girl.
@xlnuniex3 ай бұрын
@@johannapoder2843 a lot of people have died this way. Haven’t you heard of the suicide method of parking your car in the garage and leaving the engine running? Its the same thing when the tailpipe is blocked.
