Can't really blame him seeing as the outside world basically brought it upon themselves and it all started long before Eren even knew the truth about anything but I think what triggered his downfall into genocidal rage was seeing his own mother trapped under the house then eaten by that smiling titan that turned out to be a royal blooded human who had connections to his father grisha Yeager honestly if I was Eren I would have wiped everything and everyone out except for the closest of family and friends and retreated to a private sanctuary that no one knew about to eventually rebuild the human race by getting intimate with the females he kept alive and maybe having the other males mate with the remaining females otherwise Eren could have destroyed everything leaving nothing but the planet and nature and wildlife behind and taking himself out saying now the planet has no evil parasites on it forgive me if I ended up becoming the most unimaginable evil demon that ever existed what's done is done

Ymir backstory was so dramatic and her recourse was also unexpected so it was more like tragic comedy. I'm sure an unintended one it's laughable in a haunting way. Also, someone said she was in luv with him. How? And why? Was it when he gouged her eye out or being tracked down like an animal? I think it's because she was child and they didn't really go into the dynamic of their relationship following obviously being betrothed as his queen and getting pregnant unless he didn't even give her that and she was a glorified concubine. Ymir final scene was as an adult at least 10 years later. I would say she stayed and became romanticaly involved with the king as a form of protection for her people in the community but I'm still beat as to any other reason why.

Ymir was enslaved from when she was 8 years old. The level of abuse and trauma she went through and her not knowing any other way of living makes her actions perfectly reasonable. Childhood trauma can seriously mess your brain up - like neurologically, not just thinking wise. If you think her backstory was boring or her actions make so sense you don't understand trauma or that people react to things differently. This is what makes AoT so good - it accurately shows _people_ not boring simplistic characters. It's easy to say "they're reacting wrongly" to a situation when you're coming from an outsider, omnipotent view. But no one knows how they'd actually react in situations like this until it happens to them.
