As a former City EMT I could say you were so lucky, Adam. I've picked up teeth and splinted broken bones on patients at wreck scenes like this. Glad we can laugh as you weren't badly hurt but yeah, that's a classic.

This has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life... I could laugh for hours and hours with this on repeat...oh man.... this is gold.

Hi Adam, we all make mistakes in life. When I was 8 years old I attempted to ride my bike down a set of stairs. It went horribly wrong for me, the tire caught on the rungs of the stairs and I got the end of the handlebars in the mouth. That left a scar that I still have today, I'm gonna be 49 yrs old this year. I got that scar on my upper lip 41 yrs ago. Thankfully I can't see that scar as it is covered up by my moustache. I'm glad that you weren't seriously injured when you tried to ride your bike down that slide. I'm enjoying watching your videos, you make excellent videos Adam. Take care of yourself and stay safe during this pandemic.

Was 100% hoping you gave this particular episode the "once over ". My favourite vlog episode of all time - your audible pain as the bike crashes is painful comedy at its best 👍🏻😁

Blob Fest was one of my favorites. Born and raised in PA, I lived in Phoenixville for 9 years before moving to CO. Those were the some of the best years of my life. I've been to all of the places you visited in that vlog including the surrounding towns. Good to re-live those times vicariously through you. The bike incident vlog...then...first made me worry for possible damage to your body...now...makes me laugh so hard! Thank for the many great vlogs!!

At least now when someone says " Go take a flying leap " you can honestly say, that you have already done that.

Adam, I did see this one before and am getting a much richer perspective with this commentary. 👍🏻. When you straightened out the bicycle wheel next to the tree, I had a flashback of a similar scene in the movie” It’s a mad mad mad mad world”. The scene is where Jonathan Winters is having to retrieve a bike off the side of the road ( that he had just discarded moments earlier) after Phil Silvers commandeered his moving van while in pursuit of the treasure. He was straightening out the wheel in most the same way. Just had to share that. 😀

Shortly after those slides were removed. Pretty sure someone from the City of Orange Attorney's office saw the video and saw potential liability arising from others doing the same thing.

Is there a part of you that's a tiny bit disappointed the slide has gone and you cannot attempt it again with your new bike?! Lol!

I've had my share of bicycle accidents. Most of mine were on asphalt or concrete and happened when I was a teenager. I'm 48 now. That hurt watching it. As I've gotten older myself I believe the leading cause of injuries in old men, is believing they are still young.

The old adage of one day I'll look back at this and laugh. I once rode a bike down a grass slope a lot steeper and taller than that one, somehow survived it, heaven knows how it was scary. But then managed to crash my bike hitting a bridge railing on my way home and my bike ended up looking like yours lol, all on the same trip. Keep up the good work and stay safe

Still my fav TDW episode. I remember laughing sooo hard and rewatching it so many times. Introduced the, at the time gf to ur videos w that one. Starting that night we would watch ur daily vlog every night during dinner. And watching this review brought back so many memories. I remember at first hating the edited vlogs. Was not a fan, but eventually u won me over. But watching u review this...as watching the first original cut of this, i was crying from laughing so hard. Cause I knew it hurt sooo bad, but as u said...we've all made dumb mistakes. Some bad, some funny to look back at. I love you man, and keep up the work.

This is indeed a classic episode. I must confess, I watched this back several times, each time laughing more and more into my tea, in 2016. Not because you were shaken or hurt, but because I know the feeling of having a bike crash all too well and to share in the joy, confusion, and mild pain of taking a colossal fall off a bike, with a stranger over the internet makes us - and others who have had the same - brothers in a kind of clan. Footsoldiers of fate.

This is hilarious. My chest is hurting from laughing so much 🤣. You should put together a blooper reel although I don’t know how many accidents you’ve had throughout the years of filming.

You could play videos like these as conversation pieces too of course hehe. Okay now it's time for me to make that coffee. Oh remember you have to make coffee for you and your guest when they come on your podcast hehe. It's a good fun productive way to stay indoors and take a break when wanted during these times.
