them tyres certainly pop more than the cottons for sure one of the few times that i'd say all black works amazing frame but if it was "accurate" they'd be running Shimano and not Shram

The reason for "no tubeless" is it has become apparent that tubeless and hookless de-tension the spokes. It doesn't with a tube. A very strange phenomenon. I do believe it has to do with how the tube spreads the load under pressure. Anyway that is why.

That's the first time I've heard that. The roval mountain bike wheels used to have a pressure limit because the sidewalls weren't strong enough and I know because I pumped one up to 50 lb to do a group road ride on my mtb and the sidewall delaminated. Tire was flatting just as I got home. I did not see the 45lb PSI pressure limit sticker on the wheel lol..but I did get a crash replacement.. I could see now where all that inward pressure might make to spokes a little loose. I originally heard that they went from 2Bliss back to the tube rim to save weight.

I have not heard of this either i have seen a ton of tubeless wheels come into the store that have been that way for years and they do not de tension the wheels I have seen nipples get corroded from the the fluid and cause then to literally turn to dust causing spokes to break and then having the rebuild the whole wheel

Nice ,, does the tyre widths and wheel sizes B&F make that much difference. My OCD would be off the scale knowing my front tyre was wider than the back.

Well, I just found the solution to my tight water bottle cage. Mine doesn't have the cut-out in the front, sooo where is my hack saw! NIce bike, by the way that's my size, 56. Thanks for the video.

@@breddary Aren’t there extra cables to run through if you set it up with mechanical? If so, it might have been electronic because I’m not sure if the SL7 frame is designed to accept mechanical cables

What is the maximum amount of spacers one can ride (safely of course) before having to cut the steerer? I've read 5mm but it seemed a bit more on that bike.

shitttt I dont know what is the safest but specialized is known for having a long steer plug so I have seen people slam the stem and run all the spacers on top, now I am not telling you to do that btu I have seen it and rode it personally like that

@@GCPerformance18 I've read in some forum. Not saying it was bullet proof info. But having experience with it is what matters the most (of course, specialized as any brand will always try to be conservative). But having 10mm is more than enough in my opinion for people to experiment with bar height and to maintain some future reselling options. Thks for the reply!

@@PedroPrego In my opinion, it's dependent on the length of the expander plug. If let's say your expander plug is 50 mm long (minus the height of the flange) and your stem's steerer tube clamp is 30 mm high, you could run 25 mm worth of spacers (3 mm for the gap between the expander plug's flange and the edge of the spacer) above the stem since the area the stem is clamping is still reinforced by the expander plug.

@@cfau6290 Ah yes, tires are difficult to remove from the Rapide CLX's front wheel due to the rim's width, even for the Turbo Cotton, which is mostly a piece of cake to remove on other wheels.

you have to break the bead away from the tire hook, take two thumbs and press one spot really hard to get it un hookd and then use the lever to remove the rest

The Tarmac SL7 uses thru-axles that require a 6 mm hex wrench to remove, though tool-less thru-axles can be used.

No local bike racer that can really use that bike properly aka CAT 1-3 has the 14 grand to buy it because they are too busy making money and not training. Rather, that bike will be on local MUP's being ridden by fat MAMIL's at 18mph being passed by riders on bikes that cost 1/4 as much. P.S. I remember when the then new Venge came out. I caught a guys wheel on it and he was riding so slow I asked if he was doing a recovery ride. He didn't know what a recovery ride was...lol.
