and then they bastardised it from 7/4 into 4/4 time because they decided people were too musically challenged to appreciate it. I saw Hans Zimmer live and one of the members of his orchestra was the guy who wrote this theme. Hans brought him to the front of the stage and announced, "this is the man responsible for 'The Bill' theme tune" and the entire arena gave him a standing ovation.

This is my favourite TV theme tune, but all the late 80's TV had awesome music, casualty, blockbusters, brookside, only fools and horses, they all had that unique sound.

Haha it really does sound like a Sega Megadrive theme! I still play the Megadrive these days, I have an Xbox360 but you can't beat the games like Sonic, Road Rash, Streets of Rage! This was the best Bill theme by far, someone could do an awesome remix to this, imagine a drum and bass remix or a rock remix with guitars lol.
