The writer did very well to convey the two approaches and the conflict between them. The follow up episode is ‘Into the Mire.’

i remember seeing this episode when it first aired, I was a teenager at the time living in East London. I was a very unerving episode

They really did spin some yarns on this show didn't they... You can't tell from a barcode which shop or wholesaler a product was bought from. The amount of barcodes you would need for each and every product being sold, would make the whole ethos untenable...! There is enough information held within a barcode already, without adding extra information post-production...!!!

@@JC-il6ps Your right - i just checked. 1992 The eighth series of The Bill, a British television drama, consisted of 105 episodes, broadcast between 2 January - 31 December 1992.

If you go back to Episode 92 for reference, it's 24:15 long, at 24:07 it says at the bottom of the screen; 'Copyright Thames TV Pic 1992'. 👌
