The Birch is someone I would genuinely feel perfectly fine falling asleep around, she seems quite protective of those she sees as her children. The Birch gives me, "You harm what's mine, I repay in tenfold." Vibes, and its beautiful.

The birch seems like more of a protecting type of monster. She's just protecting people who are getting hurt in the woods, and who are harassed. Im thinking that these teens or people who get bullied in her woods, just become her children basically? or protected. The birch monster just seems like a monster who is meant to be protective. She gives me huge "mama bear" vibes.

When you think about it, the birch is not malicious, it’s acting out of good faith and intent. It sees the summoner being attacked, it will kill the aggressor, meaning it can’t even be used to attack people, as it only helps those with pure intent! Love the story!

It literally took me 3 times to understand this. "For he who makes me, I shall come" the boy made her sign, and she appeared to protect him, "He who breaks me, shall come undone" the bully broke her sign, therefore he came "undone"
