Popular theory going around is that Kiri is an 'avatar' of Eywa. Though the consciousness transfer ritual failed, Eywa returned Grace in the form of Kiri

Well, Grace's avatar became basically brain dead. Kiri has no father so to say, or she might be the daughter of Grace's avatar and Eywa herself, I don't think Kiri is a reincarnation of Grace as she meets grace within Eywa, Grace is still there and her and Kiri love each other so much. I suppose Kiri is a Jesus type of being. A hybrid human/Naavi with Devine powers and a privileged connexion to Eywa as Eywa made her.
