When I read the report of Jesus Christ account by Pilate knowing he would give no less than an accurate and thorough accounting of what happened in that situation to the emperor at the time. I believe he believed Christ Jesus of what HE claimed to be. Somebody with influence shamed him. It is very possible this is why there is confusion about the rest of his history. My hope is he is saved by the blood he could not save. It was supposed to happen. And he (Pilate) realized at that moment Jesus Christ told him the only power you have is what my Father has given you. Pilate did his best to release him but it was ordained for the Son God to do the Father's will. And if Pilate became a believer in Christ he now understands why he couldn't free him with his power he thought he had. This makes perfect sense when reading all accounts and scriptures combined with who God is. I hope to see him saved and on the right side of the judgement seat when it is time for all of us. Amen Gentile or Jew.

Yes. People just don't see the Spiritual Warfare behind all what's manifesting in the Physical World. First, God is in Control. BEWARE THE LEAVEN OF THE PHARISEES 2. BEWARE THE LEAVEN OF HEROD That meant when those two Combined, it will be more Brutal. Government and the Religious were the challenge in Jesus time. "Hidden Politics of the Crucifixion" by Glenn Kimball shares letters from a London Museum written back and forth between Pilate and Herod lamenting their roles in Jesus's death, as Herod suffered with dropsy and had hoped to be healed by Jesus and Pilate because he saw Jesus post resurrection and was an instant believer. By these accounts, Pilate was ultimately held responsible for the death of the Christ and executed by the Roman government. Many other fascinating details in those letters, confirming the Biblical accounts of a great earthquake, darkness that covered the whole earth and the resurrection of many who had died.

It would be nice to think that Pilat and his wife repented and reconciled, I can see his wife doing so, but him? he was more interested in pleasing the crowd then in doing what he knew to be right. he was like most politicians more concerned about votes, so to speak then about moral integrity. they violate so many ethics rules and get away with it. the fact that he was in Judea to begin with proves this. most officials and soldiers sent there were sent there for reasons of punishment, Judea was the armpit of the Roman empire, men were sent there for sleeping on guard duty. or with the general's wife. the Romans set up their own organized crime syndicates and acted more like thugs then soldiers. merchants had to pay protection to keep their businesses open. anyone refusing might see their store "accidently" go up in flames. Pilate knew all this was going on and most likely took kickbacks to turn the other way. so sorry I don't see him repenting when all he did from the time he condemned Jesus was wash his hands and declare himself innocent of the "blood of this innocent man"

The video misses an important point: The High Priests knew that, according to custom on Passover, the crowd would be given a choice of which prisoner to release. The priests anticipated that the popular Jesus would be offered for release, so they put shills in the crowd, and paid them to call for the crucifixion of Jesus. So, Pilate had a plan to free Jesus, and he could blame it on the people's demand and the custom. But Pilate's plan failed, and he didn't have a Plan B. So he caved to perceived popular pressure, the Sanhedran duped Pilate.

Pilate bore responsibility that water couldn’t wash away. His wife’s dream was evidently of divine origin, even as were the earthquake, the unusual darkness, and the rendering of the curtain that took place on that day. Her dream should have warned Pilate that this was no ordinary trial, no ordinary defendant. The one delivering him to Pilate ‘bore the greater guilt.’ (John 19:10,11) The high priest who headed the Sanhedrin, was responsible before God for handing over God’s Son to this Gentile ruler for sentencing to death. (Matthew 26:63-66) Pilate’s guilt did not equal theirs; yet his act was extremely reprehensible!

He clearly believed that Jesus was a good man and did everything in his power to save him, but in the end was forced by the Jews to send Jesus to crucifixion. It is very sad. Jesus himself comforted Pilate saying it was not his fault, but the fault of the Jewish authorities that he would be sent to death. So Im sure Jesus forgave him and understood his position. Pilate, by his own account, suffered from great sadness and regret the day of the crucifixion and wrote a very detailed letter about it to Ceasar. He also wrote again later regarding the evidence of resurrection. Very fascinating.

It's very important to know and understand scriptures before speaking on any subject matter bothering around God's word👇 "From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.” John 19:12 NKJV "The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he [Pilate] was determined to let Him go." Read the book titled "the Dolorious Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Saint Anne Emmerich a Saint of the Catholic Church. In this book she recounts Holy Week beginning on Palm Sunday and clear through to the Resurrection. She was an Augustinian Nun who was visited by Jesus who told her that He would reveal to her prophetic visions and insights to which no other prophet from the past up to that moment, had not been shown what Our Lord would show her. She saw Jerusalem as it looked in Jesus time. She saw the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus exactly as it occurred. The part in there in the Chapter where she describes Pontius Pilate and how he responds to the Jewish leaders, to the crowds, and his talking to Jesus, it corresponds to all 4 versions of the Gospels. However this book goes even further and way beyond the 4 Gospels in much more detail that you should read it, it is absolutely astounding!!

Pilate, was fore warned about Jesus, not to get involved through his wife. But as a Roman, and one who was ambitious, took the case. After asking Jesus questions, he saw that Jesus was innocent of the charges against him by the High priest Ananias, the Pharisees, and the Saducees. The High priest and who was involved of those religious teachers of the law, were the supreme court for all Jews. They were the rich and powerful of their day. Pilate, gave in to pressure and fear. And without knowing it, he fulfilled Bible prophecy, that Jesus, would be put to death, the manner was not stated in the prophecy. Pilate's life took a turn for the worse. He did not escape his decisions, or curcumstances. Pilate, was used by the vivious cruel religious leaders in Jerusalem. It was the religious body who clammered to put Jesus to death. Not all the Jews in the city or outside the city. The few in the crowd were paid by the two religious groups, to yell out to have Jesus, impaled. 37 yrs later, those wickedand false priests were put to death by their own people when the Romans returned in 70 A.D. The Romans, just as Jesus foretold to his disciples and those priests, that the Temple would be destroyed and no stone would be standing at its destruction. Among those priests who condemn Jesus, and put him into Pilate's hands bear a greater sin than the Romans. When Jesus cried out on the stake he was implaed on "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing" wasn't for the Jews and those who clammered for his death, but for the Romans, including Pilate. The Jews knew he was the prophesied messiah. Those evil priests knew too. So in 70 A.D., when the Romans came back, they entered into a starving city, destroyed the Temple, took what was left inside it, set it on fire, killed the priest's (those who hadn't died before destruction of temple), and captured over a million Jews and took them to Roman mines scattered throughout their empire, and those left over marched through the streets of Rome, the parade of victory. The arch of Titus, is still standing in Rome, in the forum to this very day. Proof of the temples destruction as per the prophecy uttered by the innocent man Jesus Christ!

You missed a most important point. At the time of Jesus' "trial", the Denarius coin contained the phrase "Divi Filio" meaning "Son of the Divine". It is only after one of Jesus' accusers said Jesus claimed to be the Son of God (Divi Filio) that the narrative says " and then, Pilate became afraid". He could not free Jesus and have that accusation of Jesus claiming to be equal to the emperor get back to Rome.

Pilates wife is known as Saint Claudia Procula in the Orthodox Church. Pilate’s fate is unclear but I think he is partially innocent because Barabbas, literally means son of the father (representing the world) in Hebrew Bar-Abba and Yeshua means savior in Hebrew. Strange that Pilot wanted to release people but the very people of Jesus pushed it to happen. Because the truth is that the death of Jesus Christ was a plan that existed before any of us did, before earth and time did. The Father already knew what he would have done. And the coming of and crucifiction of Jesus Christ was Divine Prophecy and HAD to be fulfilled. So even if Pilate, and everyone in roman authority absolved Jesus and wanted to release him, it would have still happened SOMEHOW.

Pilates task was to keep the rambunctious Jews calm over Pessach, when thousands of Jews came to Jerusalem. and then he heard of that one notorious Jewish troublemaker who he feared would incite a rebellion. of course he had to set an example! tactically smart as he was he also let Herodes Antipas have a word, thus showing respect for the Jewish nomenclatura while being sure that Herodes would agree with his verdict due to the pressure he must have felt from the Jewish priests who Jesus had attacked several times before.

Had Pilate been quicker on his mental feet, he could have easily deflected the guilt back on to the Jewish leaders and crowd below, telling them that according to their own Judaic law and traditions, it was unlawful to bear false witness against an innocent man and thus murder to execute an innocent man. Something to that effect. Therefore Pilate would force the crowd and Jewish leaders to take pause and reconsider their actions. Jesus Himself did just that in front of the accused woman that a mob wanted to stone to death for adultery. Jesus picked up a stone and held it outstretched, proclaiming, "Let he who is without sin be the first to throw this stone." The mob hesitated. No one was going to claim he was sinless as surely there would be others in the mob who knew him to be full of sins. Slowly, members of the mob began quietly drifting away until only Jesus and the woman were present. Unfortunately, Pilate did not have the grace, wisdom, and foresight of Jesus. Pilate was after all, a technocrat, a Roman political apparatchik, whose main job was to keep order in troublesome Judea and keep the tax monies flowing back to Rome.
