Ubisoft was who did him dirty, not the rabbids, we should have realized this before Nintendo proved it to us by writing them well. That’s why on even a meta level Ramon shoots the board of directors, not the rabbid Kaijus.

Small Correction about the Hoodlum/Red Lum thing. He doesn't scare them, he makes them Laugh. So the positive feeling makes them good again. Probably didn't expect that since he had that "Funny Face" move in the first game, which scared the hell out of those lanky Jungle Explorers (the guys that even appeared again in Origins). So in conclusion, Funny = Good Lum Scary = Hood Lum

Captain Laserhawk was a great show in depicting Rayman in an alternate universe. Despite what some critics and fans, i believe the show perfectly depicts what would happen to Rayman if he was taken from the happy-go-lucky Glade Of Dreams into a cyperpunk dystopia.

Rayman is a weird franchise in that while it's a franchise with mainline titles, characters tend to pop up and disappear between mainline games. I personally consider Rayman 1, 2 and 3 a separate continuity from Origins and Legends and don't really know where to put Sparks of Hope, but nevertheless I celebrate the wonder, imagination, dark moments, fun, atmosphere and music of the entire series.

I think it's just most likely that there's a pretty sizable chunk of time between Rayman 3 and Origins considering so much has changed. The glade is changed immensely just from the 100 year nap between Origins and Legends, so it seems Bubble Dreamer can really cause a lot of flip-flopping. They seem to have just ignored a lot of older continuity though, so idk how well it could all be fit together if they even tried

When I used to huff gasoline, I saw a character almost exactly like Mr. Dark but he had a hooded cloak and his clothes were cobalt blue (the color of Mr. Dark's trim) and his trim was gold (years later I saw an American dad episode where Stan becomes cyborg with the _EXACT_ same color scheme, so if you're wondering what it looks like, Google American dad blue cyborg stan) and he was a friend who kept the entire universe in a bag and he'd sit on it to keep it from going too crazy, exploding, or possibly even simply escaping. That's all I have to say, but I *had* to say it for some reason.

@@pedrovallefin8406 So, technically I'm not actually supposed to tell the story, but I do it anyway more and more because I care less and less. Where'd he come from? Haven't figured that out. He's either a part of me or an earthling magic user of some sort, most likely the former. He keeps the universe in a bag mostly because a bucket would be too stiff. Why does he do that? To let his imagination run free. Nothing within a cage can be free, and the universe is for all intensive purposes a cage. So he got out, got that in, and let his imagination go. It seemed to have worked out for him, but he really liked the new boots I gave him, so I'm guessing he isn't very imaginative or it's a commentary on cooperation, not sure. This is what my channel is about actually. I've just been trying to finish the first video the last couple months is all. If you wanna know more, subscribe with notes and you'll see when I post it.

I think the Origins and Legends games should be coming after the original game, before the 2nd one. Since the pirates came from outer space, and since the magicians are capable of building some huge machines and robots, it's easy to assume that they created the pirates for revenge. Aside from this, gorgeous video as always

Interesting idea, however, I like to think that Razorbeard was Mr.Dark’s protégée but he went off to do his own thing after discovering the strength & certainty of steel right after Rayman kicks their ass in what is basically a fan made direct sequel to Rayman 1 made by a funny Finnish man who portrays himself as a living slice of jam toast.

This was a great video. I don’t think I would consider the original animated series as canon but the Rayman continuity is so weird so who knows. Rayman 1 is mentioned in the manual for Rayman Origins so I think they are the same continuity otherwise.

As a rayman fan, I would say that the only canon games to the franchies are the og trilogy, the raving rabbids trilogy, the ubiart games and the last sparks of hope dlc. With all this aside, you did a great, fun and enjoyable video choopo.👍

I feel like Rayman Origins was the peak of Modern 2D Rayman. It was so crazy, that the story was changed very often and in the end, it didn't have anything to do with Rayman's in-world Origins, but his GAME Origins.

I think it's pretty funny that Origins was going to be a literal origin for the character, and then they backed out, yet most people don't even realize that. I like to think the magician in Origins is a different magician than the one in the first Rayman, but I don't really care either way. Legends has a bunch of Teensy magicians, so I could definitely see there being a lot of previous ones over the years. Anyway, Rayman lore is super hecked up and I don't care how connected it all is as long as he just gets more games, I love Legends so much and Rayman characters have awesome designs.

4:35 Considering Globox and his species have webbed feet, large mouths, and eyes that sit on top of their heads, I think it's safe to assume they're some kind of amphibian similar to a frog, or at least semi-aquatic. Therefore, it's safe to assume they lay eggs in water. There can be as much as 500 eggs during a single mating season. Though it's often cited that only 1 in 50 survive to become frogs, due to a combination of predators and competition for food with the other tadpoles. If we're low-balling it that would only be 2, if we're high-rolling the number it could be 40-60 little globoxes. HOWEVER! Given that this is a more sentient race, and Globox seems to be somewhat able to defend himself, more than a frog would be able to, I think that they can control the conditions and ensure greater success rates in their survival than their more animalistic ancestors would. While we don't know how fast they age, I think that 650 is a completely reasonable number, especially if they age slower than actual amphibians do given their more evolved state, having it take more than a few years for them to fully mature.

I’ve know Rayman for a while but not really “known” him, probably because of the Rabbids invading his spotlight (and to be honest with you I thought Rabbids were a separate character that had no relation whatsoever to Rayman until the Sparks of Hope DLC dropped) but it was nice to learn more about him and his franchise because I genuinely really wanted to play some of his games.

Theory: the Glade of Dreams is a Pocket-Dimension created by Polokus’s Dream to escape into, like the Elder Scrolls. He exists within the glade by essentially lucid dreaming. This is the same thing with the Mario dimension; it was created by Cassidy’s dreams/interests.

You missed the fact that the Magician planted a hidden microphone in the tree the gang was sleeping on which was the real reason the snoring was so loud, and the Magician was manipulating them from the start of the game to gather up all the lums in the glade.

You should try covering the lore of the Delicious Emily games. They've gone from a Diner Dash competitor to pretty much a soap opera with every game, and that's not counting the spinoffs featuring other recurring characters within the franchise.

I swear to god if they just gave rayman a relatively interesting story, stopped being so money hungry with the IP and kept the boob nymphs, the rest of the game is literally a masterpiece. Like both origins and legends are fantastic games, they're fun, lighthearted, swift, the controls are amazing, the artwork is fantastic and the music brings it all together. They have soooo much replayability in collectibles and they are a speedrunners paradise because the movement is so polished. They literally have a winning formula if they just stop trying to squeeze every cent they can get out of EVERY platform and focus on making a coherent trilogy or something.
