In the early 80’s I worked as a security guard in a Boston department store. They had just started hiring Black men for the job so we were all trained by white guards. They would always point out Black shoppers and say, “You have to watch out for those people”. After a couple of months working there we were called to the main office for a special training on how to spot and catch shoplifters. They said that the average shoplifter, according to the FBI, is a 22 yo white female with 2 years of college. During the Q&A, I asked if the statistic was correct then why we always told to “watch out for those people?”. After that meeting, I started watching young white females and my stats went through the roof. When my supervisor asked how I was so good I told him that I followed the FBI stats. Whenever I saw sisters trying to shoplift I’d give them the heads up that they were being watched from the moment they walked through the doors. All aspects of law enforcement is anti-Black even when whites are the main criminals.

They usually look for DIRT on the victim, but not this time with Tyre....🤔🤔🤔
