5:50 Well, imagine water going down a drain. It spirals towards it, spiraling faster the closer it gets to the drain. Black holes usually spinn, and dragg the stuff that comes close to them eith it, causing it to spiral around it. But like so fast, with so much energy that it shines brightly, the light escapes. Like in the example with the water, because of the spiraling, there are small waves that push a bit of the water away. In the case of the black hole those waves would be light. The faster it spirals, the hotter and brighter it gets, the more waves are created and the bigger they are. But when the water goes down the drain, you don't see it anymore, it doesn't cause anymore waves. But as long as theres still water there, especially if it's constantly being addet, the spiraling will continue, and so will the waves. The accretion disc is the only "part" of a black hole we can actually directly see

Earth would not be effected. The distances between the stars are just too egnourmous

At 5:50 you asked how the matter is not going into the black hole. In short it's because almost all matter doesn't fall directly towards the black hole, but at some angle with respect to it, so it starts to orbit exactly the same as the Moon orbits Earth or the Earth orbits the Sun. But since the black hole's gravity is so strong and it's so dense when it gets closer it orbits faster and faster and ever faster because all of the massive amounts of potential energy the matter had due to the black hole's absurdly strong gravity. Just like in middle school physics if you reduce potential energy you raise kinetic energy since energy is conserved. And when you reduce that much potential energy the kinetic energy just goes bonkers, absolutely insane to the human mind values. It doesn't go in because it orbits with ludicrous speeds really close to the speed of light and light gets trapped inside with no chance of escape only once it crosses the event horizon and the accretion disk is outside of it. The orbiting speed and the sheer density of gas makes collisions between particles give off huge amounts of heat and light, the heat itself also transforming into light through black body radiation (why hot things glow).

3:54 Actually now we are closer to understand how they formed. The James Webb recently discovered signs of Black Hole Stars, and Hubble discovered intermediate black holes that are probably born from them

I was wondering too how a black hole produces light. Imagine it like how you grind something on a grind stone and it makes sparks. In the video I think he said things reach speeds near lightspeed and then in a blink they go inside. I think that blink is the moment light shoots out like a spark and causes BH to have light around them.

Well, no, it's not a blink, the closer they get to the black hole the faster they move and the denser the accretion disk gets so not only more collisions between particles, but more violent ones that release much more heat and hot stuff releases light. It's not the black hole emitting anything nor there being a single moment where all the energy of a particle going in gets released. It's gradual and gets more and more violent the closer it gets to the event horizon. And the moment in crosses the event horizon consider it basically deleted, it does nothing anymore.

Really though galaxies are mostly nothing so the melding of ours wouldn’t be like planets smashing.

5:28 - angular momentum, look it up. Basically, if something is spinning, it will continue to spin no matter what (laymen terms). Pretty much all stars and black holes in the universe spin.

If a black hole was in our solar system, nasa will have a mission to launch a solar spacecraft to directly to black hole and my theory is if the spacecraft goes to blackhole and teleported to a whitehole, it will be a history
