Reading Festival
Little John's Farm
Reading , UK
26th August 2012
-----------------------------------
Little black submarines
Operator please
Put me back on the line
Told my girl I'd be back
Operator please
This is wreckin' my mind
Oh can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost
And out of time
I should've seen it glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind
Pick you up, let you down
When I wanna go
To a place I can hide
You know me, I had plans
But they just disappeared
To the back of my mind
Oh can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost
And out of time
I should've seen a glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind
Treasure maps, fallen trees
Operator please
Call me back when it's time
Stolen friends and disease
Operator please
Patch me back to my mind
Oh can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost
And out of time
I should've seen a glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind

I am a drummer and it was all fine. One can't judge after the fact, in my opinion, because being there is a totally different vibe. Live is always faster, and being a rock star on tour playing to a zillion fans and just bashing out the good times, are what dream are made of. He may not be a drummer's drummer, but gets the job done and everyone was having a good time. Love these guys. - Cheers

Exactly, I was there live and can tell you that if you were there you would have been going nuts to this. I don't get how people find it so hard to grasp that bands sound different live to on recording because it's a completely different medium.

You know what? People complaining about the rhythm screw you! this song is so perfect and when the tempo just goes crazy, i think thats just pure magic and talent. Yeah, you try that. And it still sounds perfect even though the tempo is off to mars. I love it! its classic.

The best stuff within the last 20, 30 years. I`m 53 years old and there was no hope to find a band that plays like all the great bands in the 70´s and early 80´s - Purple, Zeppelin, Rainbow,... But then i found the black keys. Now i have two Cds in my car - el camino and brothers. and i`ll buy the rest... Sorry about my english, but "schools out forever" since 1979 :-)

Love the raw performance. Patrick is just smashing the drums and Dan is right on pace with him. Yeah, his tempo is what it is. To me it's charming. It sounds like such raw rock and roll. At the heart of this band is friendship and their sound reflects that. Doesn't matter if Patrick isn't polished here- they rock it and people felt it!

I feel like all the haters and knit pickers are what’s killing the rock genre. Here we have an authentic rock song from a real rock band who beat the odds and are actually successful in today’s music industry and half the comments are negative. Not only that but they are all knit picks. Almost every band who doesn’t use a metronome live tend to speed up and most rock bands were inspired partly by Zeppelin so yes, they may have touches of their style, like many bands before them. Stop looking for issues and enjoy rock and roll before it’s gone cuz when it is, some of people who miss it will be the ones to blame.

@imaxdigital7052 7 жыл бұрын
ThePsychedelicCinema I respectfully disagree. To have "talent," you need a natural affinity for something. It's clear that he doesn't have a natural affinity for drumming; he needs to work very hard to keep in rhythm, which is why he naturally does better in a studio, where a studio engineer has a tempo playing in his ear, while also doing patchwork to correct Pat's mistakes. Most likely even take samples of his drumming and loops it sometimes. Because he's that bad.
