To those criticizing this drummer: I'm a drummer auditioning for a working cover band in a few days and this is one of the songs required. This drummer is making a living playing drums(his own material to boot ) and I'm covering his parts but work a day job.I say good for him he's doing what he wants. So he's not the best technically. At least he's working and playing HIS music. Every situation is different and he works in this one. Just my two cents and Happy St. Pats!

being a drummer myself this guy does not suck the groove matches the song and it does not need to be flashy or hard tbh keeping the tempo through out the song at that speed is very difficult and tiring this guy does not suck there all great musicians, great band.

@antressa4 жыл бұрын
Well, tempo is tempo, doesn't matter the instrument you're playing, so, you can have a opinion about it. Even people that have no clue about the basics of music can tell the time it's not quite right. And the drums here are off. It's not the end of the world, but it definitely bothers the ears. I understand what you mean, though. There are people really pissed about it at the comments, lol.

Notice how some people say he's rushing and others say he's dragging. He does both. Not inherently bad to play around with tempo, but it seems he does it randomly, not as creative expression. Many people won't even hear his variation in tempo, for other listeners it's painfully obvious.(ie. distracting from the feel of the song), others can hear it but don't mind.
