Whew, an idyll turns into a nightmare, in this twisted little fable. Seldom seen a toon so deliberately vicious, but perhaps too often human, all too human. Great little toon.

Scrapppy#15 (1932) What I said 2 years ago. .For the country (nightmare) idyll Scrappy doesn't wear his almost signature backwards cap, but since his head is a bit smaller (hands and feet too) maybe it didn't fit. He sure is funny traipsing along ballet fashion while playing his violin.
