I think @truthispower701 makes a good point. In addition to that Jesus before he was taken to the cross they were to leave him but he says he's not alone cause the Father is with him. Also at the cross at the end it says, "knowing that everything had been finished, that the scripture be fulfilled he said, I thirst" In relation to the scripture mentioned earlier I think it's much more likely he said, "why have u forsaken me" because he was the fulfillment of Psalm 22 of how he would die and be treated by them. I believe he mentioned this scripture as one last plee to the Jews... To prove to them even by what they were doing that he was exactly who he said he was. The Son of God, the Messiah Also after he says everything he says at the end Father receive my spirit. You can't really explain this one if God rejected Jesus. The Father doing as Jesus asks at the end is the opposite of rejection. Also God accepted Jesus' offering of himself he didn't reject it. Jesus also became a curse to set us free from the curse of the law not from the rejection of the first born. So what's really going on here? God refers to Abraham's Son Issac as, "his Son his only Son." Genesis 22:2 So in God's eyes Ishmael wasn't the first Son why? The only explanation can be Isaac was a Son of the Promise. A Son through the faith of Abraham But Ishmael was a Son of the flesh, not of faith, not of the promise. So it is much more likely that in God's eyes, the Sons that are of faith of Abraham are blessed, "just like it says". But the Sons of the flesh are cursed. Jesus was the Son of God, the seed of Abraham, the first born, by the Spirit, "the spirit will come upon u and u will bear a Son" Jesus offering has now made us Sons of the spirit, of the faith, connected to Abraham, like him. Rather than of the flesh and of the curses of the law So now we can be blessed in the first born, the seed of Abraham, Jesus, as Sons of the spirit, of faith, with all the blessings of Abraham, just like him.

Does this mean that now every older child is not blessed only the younger?

I liked most of this but cannot agree that Jesus was rejected as the first born just because he cried my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? God had not rejected him as the first born but Jesus had to be the sacrifice for sin. Jesus is mentioned a number of times as the first born in scripture. This was taking an idea too far. Is he saying we have the blessing and Jesus doesn't?!! That's the conclusion if what he is teaching is so. The blessing of Abraham was to the seed, the one seed, Jesus Christ and we are blessed because we are in him, the blessed first born!

By this teachers reasoning someone like Peter must have inherited the blessing as the "younger" which leaves the rest of us in no man's land! The part about Christ being rejected as the first born is nonsense, the scriptures clearly state that Jesus Christ has the pre eminence in all things. Be careful what you teach, not every idea that comes to your mind is inspired. I think Abraham could have been treated with more respectful terminology, he is the father of faith after all. There was some good teaching here on the blessings of Abraham, that God blessed him in all things, it's a pity this teacher didn't listen to his inward witness about the things mentioned earlier. This is a common problem with teachers, they do like to think they have found some new revelation. Be very careful with any new "revelations", take time to check them out with others.
