The older and more popular a song is, the more likely it is to be presented in different keys (Look up "Amazing Grace" in any hymnal).

@@PlaybyHear Yea that is true. Most hymnals would take in consideration the key range that the average congregation. Would use. Also the hymnal would have to take in consideration the keyboardist. I don't use one usually. I just find.the singer's comfort.zone. I realized a year ago that I had favorite keys. I realized that I liked certain keys on piano. They were C D Eb F.G Ab. A Bb. On the guitar I preferred C D E F G..All the open string chords. ..Of.course.when playing lead or bar chords ..you just move to another place on the neck. I noticed I had.favorite ones..then I realized this showed a glaring weekness. I picked. Db It took a little while ,but slowly it is becoming my favorite key. I plan to tackle B next. B C# D# E F# G# A# B.. This is not.in my.comfort zone. It's really easy to develop crutches ..loke changing these all to flats. I guess I start with diatonic 7ths ..right now I'll have to write out the altered chords.
