Pumping good vehicles from factory by BMW´s stopped at the end of 90s, reliabity, being unique and looking like a proper BMW ended right there. Now this electric stuff, look at some lithium mines, good for the rain forests right? Oh, and where do all the piles of dead batteries from electric cars go after they go bad? I mean I dunno, maybe they just throw it in the ocean or something. Do not forget the costs too of making new ones! -E30 1989 and E36 1996 owner, who will never buy any newer BMW´s since they arent BMW´s anymore. It hasnt been about driving experience ever since

It’s somewhat a shame that the ix is a suv and looks like this. Such amazing and really over the top technology in this car. Would love to see this in an 8 series grand coupe or a 5 series. Make it happen bmw. And keep test driving your cars in tirol!! Always nice to hear a m5 before all the others

BMW - so, why not just say what is sustainable about the production of this vehicle? Some cool info-graphics..? Is it just the fact that it's electric or is there more?

You have a point but keep in mind this has to be a pretty short ad, they can’t display tons of info and keep the story at the same time. You can find info about their sustainability on BMW Press Club, but from what I know BMW is about the most _eco_ electric vehicle company out there: the energy they use for their electric car factory in Germany is 100% or almost 100% regenerable energy and they also use recycled magnets and other rare metals.

Of course I don't care about cars. It's not just about CO2 emissions. Driving a personal motor vehicle is just a bad idea in so many settings nowadays. When you live in a city you really shouldn't be driving. Oh and also the automobile industry is systematically responsible for sabotaging public transport and other alternatives and they have been holding back electric vehicles for a loooong time.
