Now I've got u Sarah and I'm happy. I live on my own. No men, no kids, thank you. One hour ago I was free in my bed, I did what you already know and said to myself "Good girl". So satisfying. I first saw Sarah Millican at The Edinburgh Festival, post divorce, a long time ago. I've never before, nor since, laughed as much - and I saw Billy Connolly in his pomp! - I developed a stitch and the tears were rolling down my face. I'm a Sandancer, too and her humour is just like my friends'; I know exactly where she's coming from and it's lovely.

Good for you. People need to stop being so prudish with age-appropriate sex education. In fact studies have shown that if you teach children the body parts with the proper names early on it empowers them to be able to report abuse. So in my eyes, the more education and less shame the better!

@C.M. Bright oh but it was okay for the other parents to be judgemental? Gotcha. It was a child taking a book out to her friends, it wasn't a big deal to them but apparently the parents didn't want to answer their questions which is fine but coming and calling me out and expecting me to tell her off was not ok.
@NatandGeorge
@NatandGeorge 3 жыл бұрын
@@jillmortlock8439 Good on yas! This is the view I take. I don't like to my kids, if mine blabs the Santa secret, & the other kids are traumatized, that's on their parents for being liars & getting caufght out!
@ExternalInputs
@ExternalInputs 3 жыл бұрын
@@jillmortlock8439 It wasn't being judgemental, that's what you're being. Parents shouldn't be pre-empted when it comes to their parenting. You're assuming it wasn't a big deal to the children, as that was never stated, and you also assume the parents "didn't want to answer their questions" as there is no indication questions were even being asked. You have no problem with the perpetrator saying they didn't give a toss however, that's a good example for her daughter to follow. Parents should should show extra responsibility when other children are involved. If you can't be bothered barring access to your R rated or PGR movie collection, then expect negative fallout from parents after a sleepover results in their kids having nightmares for months.
@jillmortlock8439
@jillmortlock8439 3 жыл бұрын
@@ExternalInputs perhaps you should use some perspective. Do you know this book? Have you read it? I'll give you perspective. My daughter who is now 35 had her first child at 32, has always been employed, is a generous, tolerant and kind human (ditto her 21 year old sister) who is purchasing her first home with her partner. They are both able and do talk to me about pretty much anything including sex. Both had friends whose parents did not want them to talk to them about sex and both had friends who got pregnant at school. My daughter showing her friends a book written by a therapist for young children was NOT a huge drama. I was not showing children xrated movies, that is a something YOU decided to add so that you could puff up your outrage. Stop putting out lies.

@@daviddou1408 I spent all day trying to come up with a joke about beards (meaning the people gay people date to appear straight because society sucks and can't handle the fact that homosexuals exist) that wouldn't come across as offensive, but couldn't. But that's where my mind went when I read the word "beard".
