The Book of Clarence should be a MUST WATCH film this year. Listen as I discuss why it is not what you think it is and how the promotion for the film is misleading.

It's not what you think. Everybody automatically judges things before seeing things for yourself. You might miss your blessing that way. I took that as part of the lesson as well.

@passionneal7777 Lil Nas X has nothing to with this movie but I get it. I assumed it was going to be a mockery because Jay-Z seems to always take shots at Christianity in his music. I still gave the movie a chance and was wrong about my assumptions. Most people won't go learn about things for themselves. Kinda like how people blindly follow the Bible without reading and studying for themselves.

Facts bro I feel like it was intentional!! They gave major reverance to the Messiah. I had CHILLS every time they showed Him. I’m seeing it again tomorrow. For those saying it is blasphemy, the movie not even about Him, but about man living during the time of The Messiah who encounters Him for himself

I saw the film last night. Overall, it it was a good movie. There was so much to take in. The setting alone is worth the price of a ticket. The casting, the score, the acting, directing - so many choices that one would not expect - I dare say this film may become one of my favorites over time.

Well, even some Black reviewers or commentators are saying it's blasphemous (but not because of a Black Jesus) because it has a different take on some things in the Gospels. But I prefer the one who called this a "Black Church" movie.

I saw it yesterday and was blown away. By the time the movie ended, I was in tears. The fashion, the wooly hair, the variations of black, the imagery, etc.

I have not been inside a movie theater in about 4 years until The Book of Clarence. I picked a darn good movie to return to the theater to see. Everything you say is Exactly how I feel about this movie. I AM TELLING PEOPLE THE Movie has several Messages. But you Summed it up with it is an Experience ! Especially Book 3. I can't wait to see it again. People please Pay attention to the movie. Thank You God for second chances!!!

I saw a trailer and wanted to see it. I thought it was a full comedy, like _Life of Brian (1979)_ but it has a tonal change in the movie that bothers some people. I liked it better than _The Boys in the Boat_ and _Ferrari,_ which I saw in January.

Saw it yesterday, 1/23/2024. As someone who has developed critical thinking skills in my life journey of 69 years, I absolutely loved The Book of Clarence film. It is a cinematic masterpiece of storytelling by incredibly talented director and actors accompanied by soulful music and thought-provoking dialogue. If one's faith is stronger than one's willingness to cast stones of death and blasphemy, then you might enjoy this opportunity to view the messages of Jesus from another's perspective. Until then, let he/she/them who is without sin cast the first stone of blasphemous hypocrisy. Love , Peace and Power to the People! "Knowledge is stronger than belief."

It came in at number 10 this weekend. Probably because it was competing with _American Fiction_ starring Jeffrey Wright for Black audiences. People will have to see it this week or next weekend to keep it from going away. Someone said it was supposed to debut in September, but got moved to the dead zone of January, where it will likely be forgotten 6 months from now, if it doesn't take off. Last year I wanted to see _A Snowy Day in Oakland_ and _Moving On_ starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Richard Roundtree in his last movie; but they went away after only 1 week in theaters.

I liked this movie, but I definitely didn't love it. The acting was phenomenal across the board and the movie was gorgeous. I think the short fall is a bit of an incoherent message. I'm not sure what Jeymes Samuel was trying to say and I'm not sure he knew either.
