Why couldn't we film Ireland's most sacred national treasure: the book of Kells?
The "Book of Kells" is an illuminated manuscript containing the four Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. An illuminated manuscript is a hand-written copy of the text, decorated with colorful initials, borders, and illustrations.

I've been blessed to have visited the Book of Kells and the Long Room in 2022. It was truly a remarkable experience and is definitely a must-do bucket list item.

Because the host is terrible, the presenting style can only be discribed as AMERICAN, and you don't actually see or learn anything in this video that you couldn;t have found out by going to the Trinity website!

First time I saw the Book Of Kells was in the top floor case. I was told they turned a page each day. I went back each day I was in Dublin. This was late 70s, before the big display and an entrance fee.
