I literally sobbed when Parvati (companion from outer worlds) told me she was asexual. 😭And then she smiled widely when I told her I am ace too. 😭Representation is important.

I also read Pageboy in August and quite liked it, my only criticism is that it was told nonlinearly, so at times it was hard to tell when the events in his life were taking place.

Pageboy is such a tough but necessary read. I had trouble following the timeline too, especially with the audiobook. And I think that's just how he talks - even his character work (that I'm aware of) doesn't have much of an expressive range.

I loved Big Swiss and gave it 5 stars. *"I’m told my voice is like a blade. When I pick out pastries at the bakery, it sounds like I’m ordering someone’s execution."* 😂I was sold right then and there.

i really enjoyed pageboy, i do agree that the timeline was a bit clunky at times but the end was very satisfying and i appreciated the ups and downs (didn’t listen to the audiobook)

I really like your thoughts on page boy and all what you shared about the quotes 💙 the thing about not being alone really resonates with me. I'm going though a tough time (not in a queer sense) and the realization I'm not the only one feeling like this made me feel better about my situation. So thank you

I felt the same way about The Adult. I finished the entire book and I can confirm that you didn’t miss anything. I almost wish I had DNF’d it too because there are no answers or resolution by the end of it. 😕

I finished the adult and honestly I liked it enough but it stays pretty much the same throughout the book as it was in the beginning so if you weren’t liking it then it’s definitely not worth your time to finish it

I thought Pageboy was good overall but it felt like such a downer. He barely ever touched on the good things that happened in his life. It made me sad.
