probably nostalgia, i remember hating this game and just fucking around the hackers were rampant it was a shit game, but i played it because it was new at the time, day z mod had buggy movement and this game was a step up. h1z1 was cool, but then battle royale took over

Arthur Dent I actually disagree, I find Day Z SA pretty boring at the moment, that's just my opinion though, right now I have more fun on I:SS than I do on Day Z SA, but I prefer Day Z mod over ISS but I'm pretty sure when the SA becomes more stable and more features are added it will completely dominate both the Day Z Mod AND I:SS

coolcat1711 actually valve threatened the people making infestation because they were perma baning people on the forums who were complaining, stopped alot of the forward progress of the development of the game, while telling people they were working hard. Valve stepped in and said "look our community took a chance with you, straighten up or we'll send refunds and ban You." trust me they fixed it up, it's gotten SO much better. infact it's getting better every update. trust me i play it and am not a big fan of it. i have not recomended it to anyone. BUT, i will say, valve did a good job making sure that games devs got on there shit, changed a few devs if im not mystaken.

coolcat1711 no worries, i got the game with the sale that started the big thing with valve, alot of us steam users were amped for what we read for this game, then got it and got on the forums and BAM, banned from the game by moderator, lol, me and a few buddies and other steam users aparently becuase about 5 or 6 thousand of us in thirty seconds sent steam support tickets in. long story short, it impressed me how much valve stuck up for there community.

Valvrave No, early access Alpha means you are playing an ALPHA. In the past, Alpha testing was either done in-house, or with the majority of it done in-house and a few select testers brought in from outside. The in-house team, and the outside testers that may or may not have been brought in, tested the core BASIC MECHANICS of the game, trying to iron out and eliminate any glaring flaws. Beta testing would then ensure to a larger audience in an attempt to wash out even more flaws, test out new features based on alpha input, iron out any issues with THOSE, and add still more features. The FINAL product is what recieved the polish, based on all the information gathered during beta, and this is what was released to the public. Now with an increasing number of games people are paying for the privledge of playing a game in its earliest state. In some cases, to help the developers with testing, or to get some input into the game, or to be able to see how the game goes from point A to point B (what gets put in, what gets changed, what gets taken out)...and some people just like the unpredictableness that is Alpha, being able to play around with glitches and bugs. People like you, on the other hand, pay for the Alpha and expect a polished product. Do you know WHY the DayZ standalone is even better than The War Z (oh, sorry, Infestation: Survivor Stories) in its current state? Because it outright shows that it's an ALPHA, unlike War Z that claimed it was beyond that stage when it clearly wasn't. So here's my advice to you; next time you see something with ALPHA next to it, DON'T buy it because you obviously don't know what it means.
